A seller sent me a message requesting that I directly send her money for an item instead of paying through Poshmark by using ApplePay. Is this normal?

That is a scam! Do NOT do it! If Poshmark is anything like eBay, you would lose any/all buyer protection if you buy offsite. It also sounds like they are trying to avoid poshmark fees. Regardless, do not do it. It's ALWAYS a scam if they want you to buy offsite. And same thing if a buyer wants you to sell to them offsite.

Same thing happened to me. Usually if they ask to make the transaction off of the Posh app or website it's a scam. Also if they say they will" add an additional amount" to hold your item... BLOCK THEM
