Initially it was reasonably prompt, however once they realised I was very dissatisfied and wasn't accepting of their scripted apologies they would disconnect me from live chat asap. This happened several times.

Considering pet circle price match and have quite high ratings on other review sites (this site seems to attract a lot of angry people) I would say pet circle is definitely a contender for cheap prices and wonderful customer service. Unless you have zero tolerance for any mistakes and if that is the case, I would recommend buying from nowhere.

Yes, I have never had been left angry by an unresolved issue with pet circle. They have always been willing to rectify any issue and this is why for the past 3 or 4 years I have only ever shopped with them for anything for my dogs.
