Will the steering box kit for 47 plymouth often cure loose steering or mainly just seal leaks etc,

I would say the steering box kit WILL solve leaks, and MIGHT cure loose steering... hard to say, as loose steering can be caused by lots of factors including tie rod ends, and the actual worm gear and sector shaft inside the steering box. If you send us your complete steering box we can rebuild it for you as good as new, with new worm gear and sector shaft, cost is usually about $750 plus shipping hope that is helpful cp
