If we're talking about a chargeback, then most cases take between two and four months from start to finish. Also as a general rule, the longer time elapses between the date of the last transaction and the date the paperwork is filed with the bank the longer it will take. Money refunded through a chargeback comes from a special account the merchant opened in his bank with his own funds.
