Why not contact some of the organisers and see if they want to trial a new update ? I have just updated and can't even set the day of the next gathering. I can't get back to the older version and I want a refund for as long as this so called update is the only one available. How long before Meetup can go back to the previous version ?

They will not go back they paid for the new app and it will remain in place
