Does life360 require a app installed of the intended phone you are trying to track?

Answer:

Yes. It must have Life360 on it and the app has to be on and the phone conected via wifi or data. Of course their phone must be on.

My husband installed an sms card into my note 4, along with installing the life360 app. my husband also has the note 4, and lives 200 miles away from me. i live in northern california, in the sierra nevada foothills while he is in the central valley. at night when i go to bed, i leave my charger plugged into my phone, staying logged into my family circle which is only my husband. i wake up every morning to his instant messages screaming "who are these people your texting at all hours of the night and morning? " it appears to be 4 or 5 different location texts within a 200 mile are between my husband's location and mine. most of the number part of the address is untraceable because it doesn't exist, however, streets, city, zip are on the map. what is the problem with this program indicating these texts are going out of my phone when i'm fast asleep? it also indicates i log on and off constantly. tech support did nothing to help me, but in fact backed up my husband's false findings and accusations of this inaccurate reporting from my phone. my marriage has taken a huge blow from this system and i'm going as far as replacing my current note 4 with a new one under my warranty. all my settings seemed to be correct... why are these false readings happening every night and morning?

Answer:

It's a very dodgy app, just puts the guy who's tracking in trouble by sending text messages to connect to the person whom you are trying to track, thus putting the tracker in tough spot. Please ditch this app!

I need help my husband install this program on our phones, i spent the day at work from 9 am to 6:30 pm i had only 10 minutes for lunch like around 3 pm or something was when i when down stairs and got lunch, and when i got home the history of the program in both phones said that i was not at work for 3 hours that i was in other complete different address like about i thinks he said 19 blocks away from my work, im a nail tech in saturday i always im very busy he don’t believe me please help me cuz i don’t know how that happen but i cant go out of work at any time. pleaseeeeee...

This life 360 is almost never right, Infact right as I write this at work, it says I'm 4 miles away in a place I've never been before. It says my wife is at her sisters, I just talked to her she's been home for hours.
