You won't get a response. Got scammed for 700 on a refridge. This site is horrendous.

Answer:

Uber and Lyft do background checks to protect the customers. There are no mandatory background checks for letgo users. Caveat emptor. Scammers typically direct you to a email address. Stop communication and report user.

One check means your message has been sent. 2 checks means the other party has read your communication. Very Helpful in weeding out the riff-raff,, as most do not know that the other Party can see that they have opened the message.
