The scammers will ask u to contact them thru an EMAIL. They will give a story like. " my aunt... my mother in law. My stepfather. " etc. is interested. Blah blah. When you see that. Report them as a scammer. There are lots of sincere people who will follow up that stupid "is this still available" question. By saying yes or no. If yes then you need to write something a little personal like. "I would like to see it. Or coujd you please tell me the size. Or is it from a smokevfree home. Or I will be coming from wherever. To give the seller the message that you are real. If they say something like its avaikable but am not around till tomorrow, say, tell them thank you. Let you know when you can meet up. This will tell the seller you are real and as the dialogue continues. You will get a good. (Rarely a bad) feeling. And ALWAYS MEET IN A PUBLIC PLACE. The only time I broke this rule is when I needed to pick up furniture. Brought my son with me... knew the location... lovely family I bought from. Good luck.
Letgo practices "Caveat emptor", the same as all other buying/selling sites. If you are purchasing an electrical item you should meet where you can test the item prior to purchase. Otherwise, you ask the seller to refund your money. If this does not work your only option is to address it legally through small claims court, police department, etc...
