Like anyone entering a new career, you'll need to be clear on why this career is right for you, your goals, and how you will contribute value - in this case to your med school community. What we do is teach job seekers how to present themselves authentically and effectively - to demonstrate how they solve the employer's problems based on their talents and experience - and how to overcome any perceived weak areas.
