They advertised Scarah Cottage in Ripley north Yorkshire as a 5star Luxury property. When we arrived for a week long holiday the interior was so substandard we decided to leave within 25 minutes

These people are just modern day pirates.
Even if you have a genuine reason to cancel you will not get refunded.
They will twist the terms and conditions to make sure you do not get any (or hardly any) I of your money back
Avoid and book with a reputable company unless you have cash to throw away.
I do hope that someone will have the time to take this company to court.
Use at your peril!
