Your challenge goal is determined before you sign up. Our system will look at your past 45 days of steps, place them in order from lowest to highest, and then choose the middle number (or median*) and add 25%.
If there is not enough data, your goal will be 10,000 steps per day. In order to have enough data, you must have at least 10 days with at least 4,000 steps per day within the past 45 days.
You have to hit your goal by the end of the challenge. You do not need to maintain a certain number of steps each day. If you miss your daily mark one day, you can make it up another day.
*NOTE - Median is not the same as "average" or "mean." Instead, it is the middle datapoint from a set of numbers that are arranged in order from smallest to largest.
