on 6/25/15Groupon has gone downhill a lot I would look at other discount offerings other than Groupon.
It's what customers are finding, they obviously don't care too much about customer service, they promise and break their promise, when the system works it's great but when something goes wrong it's not easy to get things rectified, if you paid by credit card and it's more than £100 write to the credit card company and ask for reimbursement under section 75 of the 1974 credit card act, see moneysupermarket help -reclaiming on your credit card
Groupons should let the vendors know so you have your discount for when and where as needed.
The problem on us being a merchant we request to change the deal and they completely ignore us and continue to sell the vocher without our permission. That runs into the problem with us excepting it
I have used Groupon a lot since their inception and haven't had any issues until recently. Groupon has introduced me to new adventures and opportunities for some savings (not usually the amount they claim when you make the purchase, but some savings). Until recently, I thought Groupon was a good deal! My recent issue with them might be a result in change in policies or management - or lack of screening their vendors better. But after several frustrating attempts to book my event and frustrating emails from Groupon, I posted my review and emailed Groupon Customer Support a copy of the review, restating my frustration with the vendor's website and their lack of customer service - I received my refund - well, at least - in 10 days I should according to their last email.
Simply, welcome to Groupon. Sorry that you had to "learn" this way, but, respectfully, "you should've known...". People, there are no freebies or even really great deals. What's that cliche'? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". Candidly, I'm rather certain that this info is falling upon deaf ears... Nonetheless, best of luck. Don't be cynical... I get that. However, a healthy dose of polite skepticism never hurts anyone/anything.
I had a similar experience with Groupon. They told me they would help, but in order to do so merchant had to first approve the refund. Merchant said only Groupon could issue refund. It was a frustrating, circular argument with vendor and Groupon blaming each other for the problem. In the end I lost a 4 nights prepaid hotel stay.
Because they are a SCAM Report it to both of the following and watch results pissedconsumer.com and ripoffreport.com and be sure to add them to your address book. If it is too go to be true it probably isn't!
