Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from GoodRx staff and previous consumers.
Hi Laura, prescription drug pricing is complicated. But that's why we started GoodRx - to bring transparency and lower prices directly to you! GoodRx prices are based on pharmacy cash prices which change daily. We update our prices often and do our best to track down the lowest prices. There are instances where GoodRx may have the lower price, and others where the cash price may be lower. We encourage you to take advantage of whichever is offering you the lowest price for your medication!
Hello Tiffany! Yes! You can use a GoodRx discount or coupon instead of your Medicare Part D or Advantage plan. However, you can't combine the twoyou can't use a GoodRx coupon to lower your co-pay. Please be aware that prescriptions you fill without using your Medicare insurance will not automatically count towards your deductible or the donut hole. You may want to contact your Medicare provider to find out if you can submit receipts for prescriptions purchased using GoodRx. Many plans will allow you to submit receipts for potential reimbursement and/or credit towards your deductible and other policy limits.
Hello Alesha! GoodRx discounts are pharmacy specific. Therefore, if you have a coupon for Kroger, you will want to make sure that you are bringing it to a Kroger Pharmacy. If you are picking up your prescription at Walgreens, you will need a coupon for Walgreens Pharmacy. If you have any further questions, feel free to give us a call at 888-799-2553.
