This is something they used to allow and stopped doing. It's no longer possible to redeem to a paypal account. All other methods take days at best.
I don't known what to tell you. Best is to contact giftrocket.com i used it successfully in sending and receiving gift cards. Both ways it work. The only time i did not receive the money was when the sender had some issues and didn't have the money in the account and bank canceled the pay. U can check the status of ur giftcard sent or received throuth the email u got from gift rocket.
On the email you received after you redeemed the card, you have the option to responde or contact them... they responde pretty fast. For me they responded next day... All my gift cards through Gift Rocket i transfer to my bank. The funds are in my bank in 3-4 days. EveryTime

I dont know exactly how to change the gift card. I think whats Important is the message you wrote to your father. But you should contact them. For me they been pretty prompt with the responses. In 1 day. Also As a remark I have not have no issues with these cards. I choose to transfer the funds in my bank account and every time the money were in my bank in 3-4 days as stated.
