Question:

Hi i'm a designer and so far most of reviews from all freelancers sites are negatives, what are the best to work in your oppinion, exist any site that is fully honest and having a real chance to win a real bid? please let me know.

Answer:

Hello, I'm not very professional on Freelancer but I will try to help. All the work on Freelancer is good, it depends on what you are good at. You can choose your talents and Freelancer will help you find projects that suits you. I recommend trying to bid for projects that have the "Verified Payment" sign. Freelancer Support is also helpful. You can find answers for questions or contact the Support Team on this link https://www.freelancer.com/support/?ngsw-bypass=&w=f.

Question:

Hi everyone, please i need your help . i created an account in freelancer few months ago i made a bid for two projects i didn't get any response then i stopped using the website because it's a complicated website today i checked my bank account and i discovered that that took some money. can anyone explain to what's going on is it a scam or what

Answer:

When you bid for projects and you get accepted to work on one of them, they take a certain percentage of the total of the project from your bank account (even before you even do the job and get any payment). What may have happened was that one of your propositions to one of the projects got accepted and, because of that, they took the money from your account. Check out the "fees" section of their website. As for my recommendation, try to solve it with their support team, and then quit the website. They will do everything to try and help you, but after that, they will just turn a blind eye to you and everything will be worse. If you can, try to work with Upwork.

Question:

Hello. im a freelancer. my freelancer account got suspended due to malicious activity happened. while i was online, some job got posted automatically from my account. then i got the message from freelancer staff for some help new job post in few minutes. i said i was not posted. then my account got suspended. i have around 250usd and couple of active jobs please help me to sort out this issue

Answer:

Freelancer steals. It is sad... they will not sort it out. The only way I got my money back from them after they stole thousands of dollars as they realized it was going to cost them much more to deal with me. I have all the documentation to support what I am saying here. I do not know why the Australian government allows them to pretend to operate there. The entity is registered in Australia.

Question:

Answer:

Withdraw your money from your Freelancer account while you still can. They can block your account at any time (probably when they're holding your money) and then it will be too late. Don't do business with this company!

Question:

How to be a freelancer

Answer:

There is excellent guide on http://mariabrophy.com/business-of-art/how-to-never-get-ripped-off-again-for-freelancers.html 1. Always start work after you RECEIVED 20%-50% deposit in advance. 2. Deliver the job ONLY after you RECEIVED FULL PAYMENT. For Freelancer.com this is mean -- first milestone must be RELEASED (not just funded) BEFORE you start the job and it must be no less than your bid on the job, so in case the job will be cancelled by scammer Employer you will not lost your money. And milestone must not only be RELEASED, you must also WITHDRAW it, to check that Employer actually will be allowed by Freelancer.com to release funds to you.

Question:

Answer:

That's how a good scam works. You have some people that are happy, and where a few things work for them. But they are making loads and loads of money from everyone else. So they have an image or normalcy and gain some respect by some people, but 90% of everyone is scammed. Everyone who doesn't make money from Freelancer are the ones making Freelancer money. Think about that for a minute.
