DO NOT use freelancer and tell EVERYONE you discuss work and freelancing about the devious ways of freelancer.com. This company has predatory relations with freelancers and they will likely try to abuse you financially at some point.

1. get temp agencies to place you.
2. find another skill not to be replaced by computers and learn it NOW. Speech recognition will be everywhere before long and typist will not see much work. Get skills not easily replaceable by computers and systems like going in health care services. Typing is vanishing.

1. Block Freelancer out of your mind completely.
2. Sign-up to a specialist recruitment agency.
3.?
4. Profit.

Valerie there is a site called moneymakingmommy.com this lady posts various interesting work from home positions including data entry etc. Take a look at her site it is a wealth of information. Freelancer does advertise numerous data entry jobs but not many of them are in fact legitimate so be very careful taking on any projects through them; plus the chances of actually being compensated for your work is almost 0%...

If you stay with the free membership you may be able to stay away from the freelancer take your money tactics. Then you can put a few bids on some of the data entry jobs and see how it goes. Just be careful with the payment memberships

I agree with all of the above. Stay a mile away from Freelancer! For typist / data entry type jobs, just try Upwork, Craig's List, Kelly Temp Agency, or your local job sites like Monster, Dice, etc.

Valrie is very hard today to start as new freelancer. My ex gf worked on a freelance website as typewrite, but i forgot which. On freelancer.com is impossible to start as new because they brag to have 17 million users, but their projects number I get in my newsletter is about 10-20 per day, and most of them are fakes, deleted or made for a badge, content saying "DO NOT BID". Clients are reticent to users with no ratings. So, do the math and calculate your odds, catching a project. If I remember the website where my ex gf worked as typewriter and translator I will send it, but who knows maybe freelancer.com bought that one too, it was 3-4 years ago

Try upwork.com, they will not scam you unlike freelancer

upwork.com. Go there. Its fine. Its like freelancer, except they dont fuck you

Freelancer is a scam operation operating out of cyber space and registered in Australia. Run away fast, very fast from these criminals. Do not work as either a freelancer nor use the platform to find freelancers. They steal from both ends.
