I have heard that the price of items is often much more than posted because if you make too many bids, that money is non-refundable so you end up paying more in the end. Are the unsuccessful bids kept by Deal Dash?

Hi Charlotte. We operate on the "pay to participate/bid model" so it's required that you purchase bids in advance. This loads up your account balance. When you win an item on DealDash, you also have to take into account the bids that you have used to get the item.

In that sense, we always recommend our users to keep to a budget and never place more bids than what they're willing to pay. You always have to do the math and plan your strategy accordingly, so that you get the best deals! If you have any more questions, I'll be more than happy to give you some more advice.
