The text is there to read and learn from. However there is no one to actually read or teach the text. Your student simply sits at a desk and reads and gathers information. If you would like to teach them the information in your own way, you can.

I think a dedicated parent can do the teaching a student needs if they are also willing to learn what their child needs to know. You cannot do this with Connections, however. You would serve as a Learning Coach who would make sure your child is completing the work assigned.
