How/why is your price on a flight $300-$800 less than all the other sites and direct whereas other sites all show 1+ stops?

After paying for my mother's flight to Italy and sending me a confirmation email Bookairfare called me and asked me to send them an image of my credit card front and back and my ID. I suspect an attempt of identity theft. They say they cannot accept my payment with a different name. I reply they can cancel it. Please send a confirmation you have cancelled my reservation. They don't. I need to buy another ticket, should I wait? reservation with trip ID 879098 of Dec. 25th 2016
