How easy is it to get a hold of customer service at Avis?

TERRIBLE. Absolutely worthless. Everything said here is spot on!
DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS. MULTIPLE TIMES THEY POST AFTER THE FACT CHARGES ON RENTALS CLAIMING DAMAGE OR DIRT, I HAVE HAD ONE TOO MANY EXPERIENCES THIS TIME --BEING THE LAST--WHERE THEY RENTED ME A DAMAGED CAR---DID NOT INSPECT IT AND THEN TRIED TO CHARGE ME. THEN WHEN THEY SEE REVIEWS LIKE THIS THEY ANSWER ON THE REVIEW TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY WILL ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT --THEY WILL NOT. RECENTLY I CANCELED A RESERVATION. IT WAS NOT PRE PAY. THEY CHARGED MY CARD ANYWAY AND IT TOOK WEEKS OF BACK AND FORTH TO HAVE THE CHARGE REMOVED. NO ONE HAS THAT KIND OF TIME. ABSOLUTELY THE SINGLE WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY. DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS

Terrible customer service. I've received random charges months after the rental. I have called and submitted a dispute w/o response.

Absolutely not possible, you'll be kept on hold for ages and if lucky will be answered by someone who doesn't understand English

They don't answer their phone. If you want to contact the office, you have to go directly to the office and wait in line.

Impossible, three weeks to get one reply, nothing after that. Filed an official complaint but now crusading online to address their terrible service and fraudulent behaviour
