Ive been given a fake tracking code from ali express should i just get a charge back or is that not enough evidence

If item does not arrive you need to prove to Aliexpress you did not get it. A letter from the carrier/Post Office is needed by them. I recommend contacting your Card provider not Aliexpress as in my experience you get nowhere with them.
