Depends on free shipping and canadian taxes, i got lumbbered a big nz tax bill cause my package was valued over a certain amount.
No you don't have shipping or import tax in Canada on some items so ask Ali before you purchase
Sarah S. Please heed to all the people who have answered you. Truely they are a bunch of crooks, their sellers ( Vendors) are unethical and rude. So BEWARE! Madame.
Don't buy from Aliexpress; it's a bunch of thieves and con artists selling absolute crap and ripping you off. Really, they're no better than vampires--the oogy kind, not the cute sparkly ones--that will suck you dry and leave you with an empty wallet and the taste of despair in your mouth. And you've got about as much luck getting your blood back from a vampire as you do ever seeing a dime of your money again. JUST DON'T DO IT.
Please don't buy from AliExpress or anything in the AliBaba group. They are doing nothing about hundreds of sellers who are stealing art from hard working artists all over the world! Any brand name you see listed there will be an unauthorized reproduction, not the real thing. There are tons of bad reviews here about people's packages which are supposed to be going to Canada being sent to the US and getting large import fees tacked on as well. Overall, this is a bad site to buy from. You're better off buying something in your own country from Amazon or EBay!
Please think again before you buy from there...
If the price is good and the item is genius (ask the seller many times about the item so as to be sure that it is not fake) then go on. Take notice that almost all of brand items are fake. Before you order using your visa card check the customs and the shipping charges. You have not to pay more. Usually the customer charges are too much and it is better to buy it in your country. Try to use e-bay, find an old trusted seller and read Byers critics about the item.
No you do not pay. Once you pay for your item that's it. You pay no more. That is amazing. Free shipping. When you buy from the USA you pay for shipping. I have never had a hassel. Items were always delivered and I always had a tràcjing
Have to disagree with both ivan and jires. I've ordered many things, and received all of them, within a timely manner, less than 30 days, as advertised, and products were as advertised.
One vendor had a selection oops, and made goo on it, and agreed to my partial refund, as it was supposed to be a quadcopter with camera, which it was, but sent the wrong controller, without cam buttons, and refunded the diff in price for non cam / with cam, as I requested, no haggling necessary.
SAYING THAT... do pick you vendors carefully, as all aliexpress is, is a vendor outlet for independent vendors.
IF buying from a vendor, and product having a low or no score, and no orders for that product... well, BUYER BEWARE
It's not rocket science.
Personally, I prefer BangGood, though they have had their oops also.
READ THE FINE PRINT, AND KNOW the return / refund policy. So far, Banggood, AliExpress and EverBuying have been pretty good, and in that order.
If just trying to save 10-20 % off, as opposed to buying locally, you may want to go with local shopping, especially on expensive items.
Bought a 265 USD item from BG, and only offered 145 refund, though the sum of parts kept, were worth well more than 120 USD, and was quite happy with the refund and keeping the product.
Same issue w/EverBuying, but on an inexpensive item, and why they are last on my list. Again gave me 50 % refund, but on that product, it wasn't use-able, though I did tinker with it, and now 100 % use-able and quite nice, so in the end, that worked out, but was unsatisfactory customer support after the sale.
As far as custom duty goes, unless sent 'expedite', I have never paid duty, and that's on probably 100 item from China vendors. As they ship them with low or no declared value, and as product samples, or some other bent description, so not kidnapped by customs. Keeps costs down for the customer, and makes them competitive, along with the cheapest shipping and re-packaging that they can swing, to lower size / weight / shipping cost, and why the boat is a bit slow... but, inexpensive.
My experiences are China to Thailand, and things seem to arrive 10-30 days, AFTER shipped. About the same as to Europe, even though a bit closer.
I've had not completely negative experiences, just those 3, which turned out OK or better.
Hope that helps.
It depends on the seller. Most of them ship free of charge to Canada. Some may charge $$$. Be careful check the seller's reputation before you buy.
In case your order arrives, most probably you should pay import duties.
If you don't receive your parcel you can require refund, but Alipay will charge you an amount of USD 15.- to refund
I agree with Ivan V... PLEASE DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM ALIBABA OR ALIEXPRESS! THEY ARE ALL CROOKS LIARS, CHEATERS AND SWINDLERS! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN AWAY THEY ARE ALL A BUNCH OF THIEVES!
