9/21/23

Today (9/21/23) I went to the Publix I've been going to for 4 years now with no incident, until today. Had a few items, waited behind a lady at a 10 item or less lane. Was not in a hurry. The Manager "Lance" comes up to me and tells me to go to lane 7 and he'll have an employee to ring me up. I counted my items for the heck of it and I had 14. I told him "All this for 4 extra items"? He said the lady in front of me had more than 10 items. I thought that was stupid in the first place but I said "That's fine, my bad". His remark back to me was "Absolutely". I thought wtf? I looked at the employees in my lane and said you guys have to put up with this too I guess. They couldn't say yes but they didn't say no.
That manager is a total moron. He should have first asked me if wanted to check out quicker in a new lane first but he had to get in my face and tell me to go. If I didn't mind jail I would have gave him a free trip to the ER!

Tip for consumers:
Publix is getting a mentality problem with managers and long term employees. There prices are higher than Walmart for same items so now on I'm going there.

Verified purchase

I bought a 6 month premium membership because of the better price (April 2023).
Only been on there a month and it's been over a week without any match discoveries that match is suppose to create. I even broadened my search to a 60 mile radius! NO MATCHES! I should have bought just one month instead of wasting over $100 on this subscription. WORST SITE EVER!

Tip for consumers:
JUST BUY A ONE MONTH SUBSCRIPTION!!!

They keep leaving voice-mail every week with a prerecorded message. They have 100's of phone numbers they use so you have to keep blocking everyone. Annoying sob's!

Will not refund core charge for battery!

Bought a car battery online to pick up in store. Charges showed the battery core charge before placing the order. Once I placed the order it was added into the taxes on my invoice. Went to store and picked up battery then to customer service to get my core charge refund. Nope. They said it was only taxes charged. I told them to figure the taxes on the amount and they couldn't give me an answer except call customer service. I did and they transferred me to another person without an answer and said they will create a ticket and I'll get a response in my email in 24 hours. Meanwhile my credit card was charged the full amount including the core charge. Rip Off!

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT buy a car battery online. You will get charged a core charge then in your emailed receipt it will include it in the taxes and customer service will not refund the core charge for that reason. Even if they can't explain why the taxes are over $10 more for the battery

$640 FOR READING LENSES w/ TRANSITIONS! NO FRAMES, JUST LENSES! REALLY! JUST went in the south Lakeland store today (March 25th, 2022) to get a price on lenses only. I bought the Amazon Echo Frames that are prescription ready. My vision is perfect except for needing reading glasses (only -1.75). So I ONLY needed a price for reading lenses with Transitions. Guess what I got for a quote? ---> $640.00! Are you kidding me! $640.00 for Reading only with Transitions! That's without an eye exam because they said I don't need one for readers! I don't have insurance so I guess they think I'm stupid enough to buy into this garbage price! Also the lenses were just the cheap polycarbonate lenses! C'MON! $640 FOR CHEAP PLASTIC READING LENSES? Really? The "transitions" part should be less than $100! Maybe if I drove there in a Yugo I'd get a better price, doubt it!

Tip for consumers:
It's worth shopping around. Especially when you get such a ridiculous price from one store.

Products used:
Definitely not going to Lenscrafters with their ridiculous price. I'll shop around. WalMart was half of that price WITH an eye exam! Lenscrafters said I don't need an eye exam because they are just reading lenses. So basical WalMart was just around $230 if I didn't need the eye exam.
