I can understand why a lot of people are dissatisfied with Omaha Steaks as not all of my calls to place an order were very satisfactory. My last call to Omaha Steaks resulted first in the person who answered hanging up on me.
I called back and a woman named Deanna helped me place my order.
In the past I have had some unusual experiences, so maybe the pay isn't good for customer service reps, or maybe they are treated poorly or have to work without A/C in the summer or heat in the winter and sold into slavery if they perform well, I don't know but I have had, again, several less than satisfactory experiences ordering over the phone.
On the bright side, the reward for your patience is that not one single time of all my bad experiences did Omaha Steaks NOT do something to make it right.
They have a wide variety of options to choose from and for the quality, there's no other retailers locally that compare for the money.
So, relatively inexpensive given the quality you get as far as I am concerned. I always end up satisfied one way or the other for as I mentioned already, I always pull them up on their 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy. I have found they do in fact Honor that, it isn't easily won, but there for the squabble if needed.
I'm okay with Omaha Steaks. I do recommend avoiding the peanut butter chicken and believe I know why they included a package that feeds two for free on one occasion.
It's possible that item is no longer available, I'm not surprised if I am correct about that.
Be prepared before ordering and that has proven to help some. Prepare by having the item numbers and corresponding price.
That will speed things up. Things get sticky regarding their definition of next day or overnight shipping but I wouldn't want the e job of having to spell it all out now that I have had the experience of having been dissatisfied with Omaha Steak's policy or actual practice. It gets messy. Still my last experience there went in my favor for expressing my dissatisfaction of how my order would ship.
My patience was rewarded. Be polite, just not "too" nice if you encounter a problem with them and they will work with you.
I gave three stars for shipping as it gets to be slippery here and there. If I could edit the star rating I would give them five stars anyway because ultimately it's not bad, just not 5 off the top. Same with the low rating for service because ultimately it's fine if you can hang in with the company whose rep was having a typical bad day or something. Seems to be a problem there quite clearly given my personal experiences and those of other reviewers. Ten stars overall just not ten easy ones.
