great tool for photoshop masking - I used to use corel's knockout 2 for years and just got used to it, but I heard of fluid mask and this works great for masking, especially for doing backgrounds. It can selectively do hair as well which is very impressive. Download it yourself and check it out. Also very easy to use.

Convert your old DSLR to an Infrared camera - I sent in my old Canon 10D and they did a great job of turning it into an IR camera. It only took them a few weeks from the time I sent the camera off to when it was returned to me. If you don't know what an IR photo looks like take a peek at one off their site

Definitely better than selling or giving away an old DSLR, just turn it into an IR camera.

good value for photographer websites - These guys have some great designs and I almost went with them but there were some other sites (foliolink.com) which I liked better. It was almost a toss up. I would recommend taking a look at all of these photographer website design places before making your choice, but these guys had some rock solid designs. I have wedding photographer friend who went with this company and she has been happy with them.

Great slideshow presentation for photography clients - For $200 these guys have a clever application that can let you show your clients their photos and they can select the ones they want to buy. They have a better version which they call photoproof but that costs $850. These products are add ons to your existing website and they are not meant to help make a photographers website but rather to give a photographer the tools to share their work with clients. The slideshow is definitely worth the $200 as it will WoW your clients.

get a website up and running for photographers in one day - This is one of the better companies I have worked with in terms letting the photographer be more creative in designs and templates. Other website template companies don't offer as much in terms of design and are usually just all flash without much creative thought into them. Bludomain is also extremely cheap relative to other sites out there. Not a bad deal especially if you are just starting out and need to save $$$
