Preface to review. I want it to be known that I am the type of person who commends good performance just as passionately as I do poor performance. I have only been a customer for a few days and I was really pleased with the process so far. I will follow up all of my reviews in 11 months when I either do or do not have results. I am expecting the best at this point though! Please see review below:
---------------------------
I am a single operation provider, and while I am very successful, being limited to one wedding per day, my budget is not as big as some of my competitors.

That being said, and taking into account that I myself had previously worked in a different kind of advertising, I make my advertising decisions with great care. After comparing weddingwire and one of their competitors by speaking with rep's from both groups, and doing a wide variety of my own research from a couples perspective as well as a vendors perspective.

I chose weddingwire for the following reasons:
1. My rep seems to be personally invested and excited about my success. She learned a bit about my business, knew my competitors on a first name basis, and understood where I stand in my market.

2. The network. 19 WEBSITES, when you count all the different wedding sites, the same-sex couple sites, and eventwire. It doesnt take an internet expert to figure that I will appear in more searches, and will be found by more couples as they visit different sites. Regardless of whether they know they are visiting a weddingwire network site or not.

3. The reviews. When I looked, doing searches such as weddingwire vs. theknot.com(or other sites) i found that many brides gave reviews of each, having used both. While I found many brides saying they switched to weddingwire from other sites, and even many that had positive things to say about other sites, I found absolutely NO REVIEWS, that said they switched from weddingwire to other sites, nor did I find a single review that talked badly about weddingwire.

Many of the reviews actually pointed out, that the level of planning tools made available to couples were absolutely vital to their process.

Keep in mind, that while weddingwire makes these tools available, unlike their competition, they do NOT require couples to register in order to view us vendors. They only need register to use the tools.

This means that both the bride who takes the time to sign up, as well as the bride who is skmming for information, are reached.

4. Clean look. In comparison to other websites, i feel WAY less overwhelmed when I land on weddingwire.com. I know many of my clients are totally overwhelmed by their planning process. Going to a website to help clarify your planning process, and being hit with a million different things, articles, tabs etc. would make things worse in my opinion.

Like my own website, weddingwire.com has a simple navigation toolbar, and below it the ability to quickly find vendors by searching by category and zip code.

Simple.

5. Business ethics, I found that much like local bridal expo promoters. Weddingwires competition was ever-willing to say negative things about weddingwire. My rep at weddingwire never once talked down about their competition and all the infographics and other materials and statements made by my rep were technically accurate and honest.

When their competition told me that weddingwire lacked this feature or that feature, they did NOT take into account, that while weddingwire.com specifically may not have a heavy focus on one market or specific feature, one of their partner sites DOES. Again the network is huge, and has something that will attract a variety of customer profiles.

My rep at other websites used infographics that would have mislead me, if I werent tech-saavy, or very specific in what I allow into my mind.

They told me that weddingwire couldnt stand up against them, but when I asked them why, they had no real answers.

Finally, as I am writing this, and you are hopefully reading this we BOTH already know. We are so fortunate to work in this industry where we help people create their dream of one of the best days of their life, into a reality. Not to mention we get to party for a living and take a few months off in the winter(most of us).

Part of standing out in this industry, and part of our jobs in general. Is the level of effort we show and how willing we are to go the extra mile for our clients, as if they were our own friends/family.

Weddingwire, and my rep Emma, just like I do for my clients, SIMPLY TRIED HARDER to help me and earn my money.

Thanks Emma!
I look forward to making some results!
