Joined Storenvy some years back because I was just starting out and the low fees were pretty attractive. The marketplace there didn't really drive any sales, but through promoting myself I managed to sell a bit, here and there, but never very often, maybe once a month.
The changes they've made recently have been for the worst though, and the last straw was being contacted by multiple customers who were completely unable to even make a purchase through the site. I emailed customer support and was told:
"Please ask your customers to empty their cart, clear their browser's web cache (https://kb.iu.edu/d/ahic) and try checking out again. "
Not a good solution, and no word of it being a known bug that was being looked into, despite hearing this complaint from multiple other store owners.
I closed down and moved my stock over to my old Etsy store and I'm making multiple sales a week there. My customers who followed me over from Storenvy have thanked me for switching to an easier to use site with a better buying experience, and I find the Etsy marketplace is still a good place to find new buyers, despite how big it's gotten.
