I had purchased several hundred dollars of gift cards during a "promotional" where I received a $20 promotional credit for every $100 gift card I bought. I used some of these to pay for our meal. When the server came back and gave me my receipt, it showed an overpayment. I asked the manager how I could prove I still had money left over, and she told me that they couldn't do that, and that it was just "lost". She recommended that I call the corporate customer line, which I did, and the woman I talked to, told me that there was nothing they could do and that it was my responsibility to read the fine print on the back of the card for the rules. I told her I am in my 70's and would have to get a magnifying glass to read it, and besides, just how many people read that? After spending several hundreds of dollars on gift cards, she was not open to even providing me with at least a $10 card to use to keep a faithful customer satisfied! She was very "matter of fact" about the situation and NOT friendly at all! Told me again that it was my responsibility to read everything before using them.
If this is any reflection of the company (which she is representing) it certainly doesn't bode well with me!
We also like LONGHORN STEAKHOUSE, and will start patronizing them more after my experience with her!
