Do not waste your money. Bought a gift card as a Christmas bonus, sent it over and it won't work, the linked site has an error message. There's no chat or email support so I called the 833 number on their site and they DO NOT have representatives, only automated options, took a shot and pressed 0, it said "good bye" and hung up on me. Tried again, no option for actual help. Filed a dispute with Paypal.

Loyal customer for two decades, placed an order on January 21st as a gift for my fiancé, heard nothing but crickets since then so today (10 days later) I hit up chat, they said "For what I can see, the order was processed, and you should receive it in up to 7 business days. We usually send the order before this time frame." NOTHING should take 17 days to receive in today's delivery climate and they should communicate better updates, not leave customers wondering what's going on. And, now it's too late as a gift. Epic fail.

They're mostly good but one thing prevents them from being a 4 or 5 stars company, their return policy.

I bought a chair, it arrived and was total trash, had a yellow stain on on the white center, legs were uneven, just garbage but on top of that, I get banged out for $22 to return it.

With the risk of an online purchase not meeting expectations,I won't be buying anything again from Overstock if I'm on the hook for shipping costs.

Tip for consumers:
Return policy is terrible, I go charged to return a defective chair.

Bought a gift card online and sent to my nephew. He never got it. Even though it said the item will ship via USPS, I call customer service after a month and she says it's a digital gift card. After asking how I was supposed to know this and told her it says it will be shipped in the email order receipt, she said she doesn't know. I ask her to cancel the order and she of course has issues doing so. She (who was lovely by the way) then says it's a different process to refund and I'll be called in two days about it. Want to place bets on whether they call me? Regardless, they suck.

They really have gone downhill, like crashed and burned.

I have made dozens of purchases over the last few years and when I had issues, their response was prompt and courteous but they're absolutely terrible now. Items don't ship until months after the stated/expected delivery date (if at all), then they say there's a delay but the same item pops up for sale again with a faster delivery timeline than the order I placed 45 days ago, WTH? See receipt, two orders weeks overdue with no movement.

And now support is terrible, sending cut and paste responses and going in circles rather than a human answering you (or reading your email) and then they ghost. Latest is they canceled the wrong order because they failed to read the email string.

Lastly, they don't like to refund you, they offer a store credit. I can no longer recommend them, very sad, they lost a loyal customer.

The biggest turn off and why I stopped buying on their site is that everything you order gets thrown back into your cart for a monthly refill whether you need it or want it or not. So you have to remove these items every single time. You only learn this after they auto bill you for the order.

Next issue is the products are great and a fail depending on which, for example, their spray bottles are a great idea but they don't spray half the time. Spray nozzles have worked perfectly for decades and they an't get that right?

Too many other options to buy from these days so if it isn't easy, why bother? And I don't.

I had a terrible experience with an absurdly long wait time (the opposite of Zocdoc's ratings), one other patient walked out so I told the receptionist I had to go back to work, then left a negative review, but it never posted, not only that, the doctor's office claimed they canceled the appointment.

Then I decided to cross check Zocdoc doctors with a google search and found an entirely different (and honest) set of reviews. Zocdoc is gaming the system because doctors pay them for referring patients so it's a scam.

Search reviews on Google to find the truth about doctors.

In June of 2022, I invested in the Rentberry offering, verified my profile, linked my bank and funded, no issues. Then the other day I wanted to invest in Boxable but for some reason they made me verify everything again and link my bank to get approved for investing.

I invested $1K and called it a day. Then I get an email that says "Deposit Funds" so I thought I had to do so for the investment and I did, another $1000. When I check my Boxable investment the "Funds Received" tab is NOT checked so where is my money? The $1K is gone from my bank. I reached out to customer support (*******@startengine.com) and... crickets.

Will they take another $1K for the actual investment? No, because I'm canceling the 2nd one and filing a complaint with the better business bureau to get my $1K back. And also may file with the FTC since it seems they're driving up their value by taking and holding our funds for no reason.

Tip for consumers:
Use a real investing platform, like Sofi or TD etc.

App is terrible on TV and laptop, glitchy as heck. Sound is gone sometimes, spinning wheel of death occurs too frequently (and I'm hard wired into Fios 1 gig internet speed, not wifi). It freezes, gets blurry or pixelated, simply not worth it.

I went to search for the name I want to trademark, the cost at Legal Zoom? Starts at $199. The cost on other sites including the US patent office? $0! If they rip you off at the start, where else are they doing it? Hard pass for me.

I ordered a tea chest, light wood with red interior (which was in stock at the time). A few days after ordering, I get an email saying it's out of stock. How does a company in this era not know what's in stock?

After multiple delays I finally received the wrong item. I decided I don't want to wait for a replacement (because God knows when that would arrive) and I start the return process to find I'm going to be charged an $8.49 fee to return it. Lastly, after setting up the return, there's no way to print a shipping label and no further instruction.

Doubt I'll be buying from them again.

Tip for consumers:
They are an antiquated company and charge yo for a return even when it's their fault, go elsewhere.

Had Spectrum for a few years, I had constant downtime, would get kicked off the Internet, have outages on the regular and suffer through super slow wi-fi. Even hardwired via ethernet was slow at their max level.

Then I switched to Fios. I haven't had one interruption. Wired I'm over 900 mbps upload and download! And over 600 with wifi.

Get Fios, it's worth every penny.

You realize just how bad Spectrum is when you switch to Fios.

I ordered a pair Converse on August 4th, ETA for delivery was that Friday the 6th, then Saturday the 7th, then Monday the 9th but I never got anything. Then there were no more updates, in fact nothing past August 5th. I hit up the chat and they said expect it to receive on Friday the 13th (which I thought was cool), but again, no delivery.

After a few chat frustrating conversations with customer service, on August 17th they said they'll reship a new pair and finally admit the first must be lost (ya think?).

It's now the 30th of August and guess what? No shoes and it still says "preparing to ship" the replacement pair.

I get Sreeja M on a chat and he says the shoes will be delivered today so asked where he got that info from and he ignores me for 7 minutes, then after I say "hello?" and "Are you still there?" he says "yeah Iam there" and when I state it takes 7 minutes to respond and "you guys suck", he ends the chat.

They have my money and I don't have shoes, they've been horrible every step of the way and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Tip for consumers:
Shop at a store that offers Converse (Zappos etc.) to avoid shipping delays and terrible customer service.

I prepaid a rental using Hotwire but I had a flight delay and the rental place was closed. Hotwire did nothing about it, I had to use ride shares the entire trip at a further cost. Then they kept my money even though they never delivered the car.

Hotwire sucks.

The online shopping experience absolutely sucks.

I can't log into my existing account, nor can I create a new account because the verification code doesn't arrive before it times out. Then after hitting "resend" a third time, I'm told to contact customer service.

No thanks, I'll take my business elsewhere while iHerb's website remains in the year 2000.

Is Fedex kidding? Needless to say, I didn't get it and Zzounds sent out a replacement within a few days, well before the projected timeline of the investigation concluded.

Wow, I tried yet again to place an order and this time the website froze and crashed. They simply do not have the capacity to be a business anyone can patronize. Last straw and last time I try to use them. No idea whose running the company but they're absolutely clueless! Bye Felicia!

2nd review:
I get a "come back" offer in the mail, $50 off an order of $99 or more for the account holder at my address (which is obviously me). So, I spend about 15 minutes shopping only to find out the code won't work.

Horrible company.

Original review: Let's look at this from a business perspective, if you can't deliver to me in a timely manner (or at all), you clearly don't have your stuff together and you don't deserve my business, and this is where they consistently fall short compared to the competition.

They used to be my go to grocery delivery service until there have been zero delivery dates are available, and you find this out after you load up your cart and waste time.

For instance I filled my cart today for Thanksgiving preparation, go to select delivery dates and... nothing. But, I go to Amazon Fresh and boom, same day delivery (and saved $20 on the same order minus the breadcrumbs). Whole Foods? Same thing, I always get same day or next day delivery, even during the height of the toilet paper phase of the pandemic.

Fresh Direct needs better leadership and it could be awesome!

Tip for consumers:
Don't bother, use Instacart, Amazon Fresh, Target's same day delivery, etc., all much better options.
