Warning: Geek Lighting took my money, then disappeared. They never shipped my order. I tried contacting them multiple times but got no response. I had to go thru PayPal to get my money back. The company also sell thru Amazon so be careful.
It was easy to sign up but the website has bugs. I sent a message for technical support but I got no answer. I think the site is dead.
When I tried to update my email address at Blogger, I couldn't get in. It recognized my login and password but I kept getting a message saying that it had to send a verification code to my old email address. How can I receive the verification code when that email address was closed years ago.
I tried looking for a contact page for Blogger / Google but I couldn't find one. They don't even have a contact form. I don't know what they did because it wasn't like that a year ago.
Update: Be careful about submitting complaints to MyPoints on their Facebook page. I posted a complaint, and then I found out that someone had complained about me to Facebook. They said that my account was being used for suspicious activity (NOT TRUE!). It might be a coincidence, but I find it very strange that it happened after I posted my complaint.
If you joined MyPoints, here's some survey's that give you the run around and don't give you points:
- Absolutdata.com
- Sample-cube.com
- GlobalTestMarket.com
- Ipsosinteractive.com
- Survey Savvy
I've literally spent about half an hour going in circles with these survey company's and didn't get any points. I either didn't quality or were lead to a dead page.
I wish MyPoints would go back to what it started with because that's what made it popular. I really miss clicking emails for points.
The website is pretty easy to sign up and browse. It's just a market place where sellers put up a store and sale their merchandise. They don't deal with the payments, that's done with PayPal and Stripe. So, if you have any problem with a seller, you have to contact either PayPal or Stripe.
Yes, I've had a video I posted on Dailymotion deleted, then when I uploaded again it was blocked for no apparent reason. Their only excuse references "Community Guidelines" but my video doesn't conflict against community guidelines. So, the only explanation is that some viewers are making false reports and Dailymotion is just deleting and/or blocking them without verification.
In researching Dailymotion, I think I found out why the websites platform is user unfriendly, has various bugs/glitches, videos don't load right, search engine doesn't work properly, pages load with ads that freeze browsers, etc.:
- Dailymotion is owned by Vivendi (90% stock)
- Vivendi also owns UMG (Universal Music Group)
- Universal Music Group signed a huge deal with Youtube in 2017
In my opinion, this is the main reason why Dailymotion is purposely sabotaging their own website and not competing against Youtube. Very shady behavior for a website that was once open and competitive.
Someone in their tech support dept. (aka Help & Support) isn't doing their job and should be fired. If you have a problem on Friday, forget about it til Monday because no ones going to help. I've had problems marked as "Solved", even when it wasn't. Then when you complain about it, they lie and say that you marked it "Solved".
If theyre not doing their job right, who knows what else they might be doing. Discogs management should seriously look into this problem because it could be a liability down the road. Especially, since they plan on processing credit card payments. This type of behavior is very shady and could lead to other criminal activity.
I filled out the form for a the "Permanent Opt Out" and mailed it in. It's been over a month now and I don't know if they processed it or not. Does anyone know if they're suppose to send a confirmation letter?
I tried calling the 800 number but it's just an automated response. Doesn't look good. I might have to file a complaint with CFPB.
