DO NOT BUY from Armstrong Steel
I believe that Armstrong Steel is using unfair and deceptive business practices. They misrepresented that my $6524,00 deposit was required to "lock in" a price and then falsely blamed me for delays as an excuse to deny me the $5219.10 "rebate" agreed upon in the original contract. They claimed I didn't sign a final design agreement on time that they had never sent me!
There are so many reviews online about others with similar experiences. A news feature regarding legal action against Armstrong Steel https://www.denver7.com/news/contact-denver7/englewood-based-armstrong-steel-faces-class-action-lawsuit
Alleges there are more than 100 class members, and the amount in controversy exceeds $5,000,000. Another news article https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/summerville-couple-blames-colorado-steel-company-for-dream-house-disaster/ar-AA1bpUKE
Also www.denver7.com/news/investigations/send-this-lie-to-the-news-armstrong-steel-customers-offered-refunds-with-unusual-condition
And a Facebook page Armstrong Steel Buildings Victim group has 154 members. My experience with Armstrong Steel is not unique.
Armstrong Steel employees refuse to take responsibility for their breach of contract and delay issues but have no problem refusing to refund your deposit when you do not agree to pay more than the original contract price. Be aware their terms of agreement on the website states: " You, the consumer, forfeit all rights to go to court to defend or assert your rights. The consumer also forfeits all rights to bring class actions against Armstrong Steel. By using the goods or services provided by Armstrong Steel, you give consent to these restrictions." What type of business demands customer forfeit their rights? A dishonest one...

Tip for consumers:
Do not buy from Armstrong Steel!!!

Brooke G. – Armstrong Steel Rep

Michele,

We appreciate your feedback and would like to provide some clarification. The purchase order you signed clearly states that payments are considered non-refundable in return for the personalized, engineered drawings provided to you.

You purchased your building on 6/17/2022 with the understanding that you would need to finalize your design to be submitted for fabrication within 30 days. Instead, you did not do so until August 14, which was well outside the contracted time period, resulting in the loss of your rebate. Despite our attempts to find a resolution and offer the rebate back, you refused to move forward with the project.

We sincerely apologize for your negative experience, and we do appreciate you taking the time to post your concerns. We strive to work collaboratively with our customers, and our team remains committed to helping provide you with the building you ordered and agreed to. If you wish to discuss this matter further, please feel free to reach out to us via email at ClientAdvocate@armstrongsteel.com or by calling us at 1-800-345-4610 during our regular business hours.

Best,
The Armstrong Steel Team
