Shop of Brides...The Worst Company Ever!!! - <strong>I write to you all as a warning especially if you happen to be a bride to be...
Here's the story, I had recently gotten engaged and found this amazing Mon Cheri dress that had (of course) been discontinued. Well I searched everywhere for this dress online which was my first mistake...Ladies please DO NOT purchase a wedding dress online. Your wedding dress is much to important to ever do this.
Anyway back to the story, I had almost given up hope on my ideal wedding dress when suddenly a glimmer of hope....I found my dress on a online bridal store called Shop Of Brides. I couldn't believe it!! I immedietly grabbed my credit card and ordered it. Not only was it (the) dress that was discontinued, but it was incredibly inexpensive. Now, I know at this point I truly should've know better than to trust this site but I was just so thrilled that I had found it again. So I bought it and paid extra to have it shipped as soon as it was finished.
Thank god I did...The dress showed up about 6 weeks later, it was delieved to me through UPS, in a small gray plastic bag. When I opened the bag this poor little helpless gown was balled up and tossed in a bag like it was a dust rag. I pulled the gown out to look at it...Not only was the gown NOT the one I had ordered, but was not even remotely close. The best part of the whole dress was that the dress wasn't even completed!! There were several holes in the dress from where the seamstress had apparetly forgotten to even sew them up. I even tried this awful thing on and of course to no surprise it didn't fit at all. I ordered a size 8 so that I could have it taken in if need be. I couldn't get this dress over my head.
I have tried several times to contact this company, but they refuse to talk to me.
The only response I got from them is that it must be my fault....Well, I agree...I never should've thought that they were a reputable company my mistake!!!
Ladies this company is absolutly bogus and please hear my warning stay away from them...This is the worst company online!!!</strong>

Wedding P. My friend ordered a dress in January for her July wedding and she had not received it by the time of her wedding!
Gayle f. I saw a dress on there that i loved, but i am currently deployed so i really have to rely on the fact that the dress will at least be put together so that it is ready when i get home. I read this and have changed my mind about ordering from them. I was already worried that the site was in broken english and you CAN'T RETURN THE MERCHANDISE!!! Just a heads up, but there is about 5 more sites that look like it's connected to this one. I'll take my chances with the big name stores or the ones that cater to military.
Monroe P. If you want to save money and want a copy of a designer dress, which is made-to-measure i would highly recommend buying from China.I am getting married this May and have ordered my perfect dress from 'shopofbrides', their service has been wonderful!
Monroe P. Would like to update this comment as I have been getting many ladies contacting me about ordering from Shopofbrides in China. The company was very professional, always contactable and polite. The quality of the dress making was reflected in the price and they delivered on time...but I could not use the dress and had to buy another from a street retailer 1 week before my wedding. The company was honest but communication is limited and the dress was a completely different cut to what i had asked for (they made a fish-tail design I wanted a A-line design) from the image which was used, to be fair, could have been translated into either design.
Ladies, nothing beats face-to-face contact with a dress maker. Cheap finds can be found if you are willing to spend some hours trying on different designs, even the ones you think you do not want. My experience with shopofbrides was not an expensive one, that was why i was prepared to try them out, but if you can not afford a 'trial' dress don't do it!
