I was a little skeptical about this site. Typically when things seem too good to be true, they are. However, I signed up on a whim and I'm so glad I did.
Basically, Swagbucks can be acquired a number of ways:
-Searching the internet (this is the bread and butter of the site)
-Filling out surveys
-Doing small, daily things (voting on polls, looking at special offers)
-Getting so-called "swag codes" (strings of number and letters posted throughout the site and on twitter/facebook that give you quick, one-time points... think of it as a scavenger hunt)
-Watching videos and playing flash games (I personally don't like these options, but they may work better for other people)
Pros:
-I've been on Swagbucks for about 8 months and I've made about $200 (mostly in Amazon credit), and I really don't spend very much time trying to earn them.
-100% payout rate. I've never had a cash-out claim ignored or rejected.
-Relatively quick turnaround on the prizes (usually 1-2 weeks, my longest wait has been about 20 days).
-You're searching the internet anyway, why not get points for it?
-If you're interested in surveys, this is a pretty decent place to do it. They have a pretty good selection of them (they're powered by Surveyhead, so there's a decent amount of overlap). The thing I really like about surveys on Swagbucks is that everyday they give out a 1000 swagbuck prize draw for people who are kicked out of a survey for not qualifying or being over the limit. I've won it before, so I know it's legit.
Cons:
-The search engine is powered by Bing, so it's basically terrible. That said, it's pretty easy to find straightforward and readily available information. For anything tougher, go to google.
-Some of the prizes are a straight-up rip-off. $5 Amazon codes are the best value, but a lot of the physical prizes are not worth it.
-You can only redeem 5 of any one prize per month. It's a minor hassle, but easily worked around.
All things considered, I highly recommend them. I've made a ton of extra money on this site with little to no additional effort. If I've convinced you to give it a shot, please click my referral link as a way to say "thank you"!:)
