I was surprised by my fiance purchasing my wedding band from this site. I saw the style and he got the ring. It is very pretty but when I tried it on, it was tight. We decided to just increase the size from 7.5 to 7.75 at a local jeweler only to learn we were never shipped the correct size: it was 7.0. Calls placed with message left to Primestyle customer service was not returned. When David was finally spoken to he instisted they quality test all rings and the metal stick being used by the 3 jewelers who sized the ring for us is wrong because the stick "it wears away with use." Is this guy for real? I must say that I had initially sized the ring with 1 jeweler when I first alerted Primestyle to the size problem. The jeweler insisted they should be made to refund the money. Upon speaking finally to David, I offered to bring the ring to a second jeweler before mailing back which David didn't want me to do... my question is why? If he is going to insist that quality testing means my ring cannot be the wrong size then he should be encouraging me to go to as many jewelers as I'd want. I sent a e-mail stating I'd be taking the ring to more jewelers and that Primestyle needs to make arrangements to pick up the ring at their expense. Because David had refuse to pay the cost to return the ring and told me that if we wanted a refund then we had to pay shipping and credit card processing fee, I just shipped it at my cost-just to be done. After I mailed it David did send a e-mail saying if I got it in writing that the size was 7.0, he'd send for the ring but it was too late-I had already mailed it. Although I mailed it back at my expense, no one contacted me about the ring until I called them. When I called almost 1 week after they got the ring back David started asking about a "RMA" number-I wondered if he was kidding since I had spoke with him and he knew that I had the ring sized and it was wrong. While I was on the phone he measured the ring and surprise! It is size 7.0 (I didn't think Zales/Kays/Adam jewelers were wrong). He didn't address refunding me the cost of shipping the ring which was because of their mistake. He stated the ring will be re-sized and returned. I am still awaiting ring arrival back to me.

By the way according to their site altering the purchased item void their lifetime warranty but from what I am reading there will be no one to uphold any kind of lifetime warranty. We upgraded the diamonds on this ring and I am afraid to check the quality-with the clock ticking it would be best to do this sooner than later. If we didn't upgrade, it woudn't matter as much. The authenticity of the appraisal certificate concerns me and from what I am reading it should.

Bottom line is we will not be purchasing another item from Primestyle and I did request refund for the return cost of postage. I don't think this is unreasonable request since they messed up the order-we'll see if David does anything about this. It appears that he deals with quite a few of these situations because he didn't even remember which mishap I was talking about... this it tell-tale sign. Beware!

I know this doesn't matter to Primestyle but this is my wedding band and I wanted only positive memories of my having it. My fiance re-proposed when he gave it to me and all this negativity shouldn't be associated with an item as important as a wedding band. Getting things right and filling orders as submitted shouldn't be at the insistance/expense/inconvenience of the customer.
