I have participated in e-Rewards for many years but yesterday I was unable to redeem my points for a reward due to their new, very complex verification process; Must use cell phone to send photo of government id and mug shot. I got lost in the demands and gave up. Also, NO cash rewards (like Survey Junkie) and long surveys with minimal rewars. Crummy site.

I bought a bottle of Bausch and Lomb PerserVision Areds 2 vitamins from Amazon and when I opened it I found the caplets covered in slimy, oily, greasy and nasty slime. Apparently one or more of the soft gel capsules was leaking and contaminated the entire bottle of 120 gels. Amazon first referred me to the manufacturer but they refused as responsibility for selling a defective (dangerous) product and demanded I take my complaint to Amazon. Amazon agents fought to refuse my request for a refund saying "it was against their policy." I demanded to speak to a supervisor and she eventually offered a ten dollar credit but for the $19.24 I paid for defective product and I refused this. Finally, after nearly a half hour on "chat" Amazon agent reluctantly and rather hatefully offered a full credit for the bad product they sold me.
This is way too damn hard to get fair treatment. It is simple: IF YOU SELL A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT REFUND THE PURCHASE...and do not play tedious games to make the customer give up on the refund so Bezos can get more millions. Crummy outfit.

Tip for consumers:
Off shore customer service agents have odd language skills and are hard to deal with at times. Amazon return and refund policies are EXTREMELY ODD, NONSENSICAL AND HARD TO DEAL WITH.

Bought Bausch and Lomb PreserVision Areds 2 and found the bottle filled with greasy, oily and nasty capsules. Evidently one or more of the soft gels had broken and leaked, making the whole contents an unusable, unsanitary and unhealthy mess. Amazon, where I purchased them, referred me to the manufacturer, Bausch and Lomb and they refused to refund or replace the defective product they made and told the only Amazon could solve my problem. They accepted NO responsibility as the creator or this defective mess and simply dumped the solution on Amazon. Very low class operation. IF you make something BAD you need to fix it not delegate your responsibility to a third party. I will buy no more Bausch and Lomb junk.

I have insured my auto with USAA since 1964 and they were "the gold standard" for value, service and integrity. Over time they have grown huge, way beyond the military officers that were first served. Lots of overpaid executives to pump up prices, profits and their huge compensation. Just spent nearly an hour on the phone with USAA agents trying unsuccessfully to solve some problems with a new cd I opened with them. Could not resolve the issues that bothered me and decided NOT to renew the cd and start looking for a company with better customer service, a better web site and more competitive insurance and banking products.

Products used:
Kept account open with auto and home insurance, along with cd. Will look for new firm soon.

Off shore, limited English speaking customer service is impossible for me to understand. Passed to very rude English speaking agent that I could not deal with. The next day I got a nice, very professional and helpful young man that patiently worked to solve my problem. Now Wells Fargo is calling me every day to apologize for my bad experience. Uneven, but hopeful, customer service.

Tip for consumers:
Very hard to set up my cell phone with Wells Fargo app.

We needed laundry detergent and I placed an order with Amazon on May 28 and they estimated I would have it by June 5. Placed an order for the same item with Target as a backup and got it three days later. By June 6 Amazon had still not shipped our detergent so I cancelled the order. Slow and unresponsive service in this rather emergent case.

I bought a ZVOX sound bar a few years ago and it failed the other day. I have emailed several times for help and they have failed to respond. I thought they had a pretty good product but without support it is a worthless boat anchor. Best to shop other brands for TV sound bars. I notice that they seem to falling behind in the market place with products that no longer are up to snuff.

Came across review in Kiplinger on free tax software and FreeTaxUSA appealed to me. I used it for last year (2020) filing and the process worked very well for me. I have several sources of retirement income and numerous streams of investment income, so the input was a little tedious but about the same as H&R Block. I will most likely use this again for 2021. The price is right... FREE.
