Major KitchenAid kitchen products do not last 5 years. KitchenAid may not have the replacement parts. Whirlpool products are much cheaper and appear similar.

We redid our kitchen about 5 years ago. Our KitchenAid dishwasher worked well. So, we thought as we go into retirement, we would spend the additional money to buy quality products and we purchased all KitchenAid: Refrigerator, Double Oven, Microwave, Gas Cook Top, and Exhaust fan. The Gas cook top and exhaust fan are great. However, the refrigerator needed to be replaced, the double oven required maintenance and the microwave key board stopped working. I received a discount to buy another refrigerator, I had an extended warranty on the double oven, and I tried to find out what part I needed for the microwave.

After spending several hours on the phone with KitchenAid (whirlpool), I was redirected the parts department (a third party), they cannot help me and I needed to contact a service person. I called back KitchenAid and they transferred me to a help line, after waiting several minutes, the recording said I can receive a call back, at the end of the day, the automated system told to me to schedule an appointment, I never received a call back. I called KitchenAid again and they told me a technician would not be sent out for the microwave, and the part was no longer available. They offered 25% discount off a new microwave. With shipping it was more expensive than buying it locally. I called back to find a microwave that would fit in our build in cabinets. I was told about a whirlpool microwave, much cheaper, same dimensions, and when I received it the only difference was that the KitchenAid had some more fake chrome and the KitchenAid. KitchenAid told me if they ship it FedEx there would be no cost for shipping. I bought it from Whirlpool because I wanted to be assured that it would fit in the cabinets. If you really want to buy KitchenAid products don't have a high expectation of customer service and buy Whirlpool, just use a pen to change the name from Whirlpool to KitchenAid.

Tip for consumers:
No technical support.

If you don't want the product that has been sent, contact customer service. They will refund the money - your shipping. The 2023 Jeep Product was two inches short in the cargo bay and the passenger side was also a a little short. WeatherTech provided me an acceptable credit.

Products used:
Floor mats front, back and trunk liners.
