So, I have had a Birchbox subscription since March 2014 I've enjoyed the surprise of getting new products every month but a lot of times they cheap out on the box and put in foil packets and perfume samples as a part of the box each month. I have been willing to overlook this because they have an excellent points system that earns each subscriber $5 for reviewing all of the products in the box. As of July 11,2016 Birchbox amended this policy and now the only way to earn points in their shop is to but products or invites friends through a referral link. I'm incensed to find this out and am incredibly angry with myself that I have purchased a year subscription.

My July box just never came for me and while initially their customer service promised a replacement box when I emailed to inquire when said box might arrive they informed me that I would not be getting one but that my account would be credited (which to date it has not been).

Overall, I have been irrepressibly disappointed with the quality of products and customer service that I have received from Birchbox in 2016.

They continue to say that they donate the clothes that they don't buy to charitable endeavors however, I'm becoming increasingly more concerned that they actually pocket the lower brand clothes that are sellable when people who send them for consignment. Either way next time I'm just using the time and gas and going to Plato's Closet to sell my clothes! :)
