My boyfriend ordered lingerie last Valentine's day and the unknowingly signed up for a VIP membership which discreetly takes $40 out of his account every month. Once he noticed about 8 months later, there was $320 sitting in his adoreme account unused. We have been dealing with this company for 2 months trying to get the money back. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes to have our phone call answered, sometimes it is never answered. We emailed multiple times and only received the same automated response. On the phone we asked to speak to a manager and were denied access. The company said we can cancel VIP membership, but will lose the $320. I know this is not the only option, and this company has stolen money from him. One pair of lingerie is not worth $360, and after this service, we absolutely do not want to buy any more. The lingerie was average, but this company is NOT worth the hassle. It's a scam that steals money on a monthly basis. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Tip for consumers:
Don't. Buy from somewhere more reliable. This company is not worth the time with customer service if you click the wrong button.

We are sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience. We would like you to know that the signing up process is not automatic. The VIP Membership is one of two payment options you select during checkout with your first order (the other is Pay As You Go, our one-time purchase option).

It is an active but flexible membership, meaning that you are not obligated to make a purchase each month, but that between the first and fifth of each month our VIP Members visit the site and either make a purchase or skip the month.

If you do not shop or skip between the first and the fifth, you’ll see a $39.95 charge on the card provided. This turns into store credit that you can shop with anytime. We send reminder emails, but you’re welcome to make use of our no-questions-asked 30 day refund policy: http://askadoreme.com. In order to be eligible for a refund of store credit beyond 30 days, please send an email to our claims department at claims@adoreme.com explaining the case and why you were not able to request a refund within our 30 day limit.
