This refrigerator leaks that could lead to a potential electrical fire hazard. Costway doesn't stand behind their one-year limited warranty. They try to lowball customers by offering "repair costs" of $100 (they up this to $150 if you refuse and desire they honor their warranty).
After many messages back and forth with Costway and, finally, having Amazon call them, we never got our refund. Was transferred to Costway Customer Service only to be met with one service representative who couldn't show me where their warranty information of 6-month shorter warranty was in writing. Then connected with a hostile "manager" who denied they have a storefront with Amazon, but insisted that I bought this from Amazon, and not from them (their storefront pic attached).
I was forwarded to Amazon again. Costway's belligerent manager hung up on me.
NOWHERE does their website say that there is a 6-month warranty for items bought "outside of Costway." They have a Costway storefront on Amazon's website, but they are denying that they sell anything "through Amazon." The refrigerator's webpage has a link for their store ("Visit the COSTWAY store"), but it doesn't link to their costway.com website, but to their AMAZON STOREFRONT.
We want a refund because we don't trust their products. They refused, so we are reviewing, reporting fraud to the FTC, and further.
Could you please forward your concern as well as the order number to service@costway.com?
