I used to like Walmart because it is cheap. But cheap does not come cheap.
Walmart Canada sells substandard items; they sell products that do not have the right weight or less than the indicated weight or grams or oz.; they have very bad customer service in its Pharmacies; cashiers or customer service counters; the produce are expensive and could hardly meet enough portions; their meat section, watch out for smelly pork cubes;

The worst is Walmart stores in the Lower Mainland have a dominance of one ethnic group and many ( not all) of those are lazy, filled with excuses; selling only Walmart credit cards and picking on people they suspect are thieves which meant everyone shopping in their stores. There is no cultural diversity, a violation of what CANADA stands for. The employees make excuses. But despite the complaints of many, many customers, whether its their online or physical stores, still shop. Walmart won't make changes because shoppers continue to shop and accept the disgusting customer services in exchange for cheap food.

Walmart employees are under paid. Employees hide in the shoe department or hardware area where there is very little convergence of customers. An employee will tell you that she will help you by checking what's inside the warehouse. That employee won't be back. If a cashier is about 20 minutes before her break time, she closes her till and pretend to look busy. Watch their cell phone kiosk. All sale people are "manning" their cell phones and will ignore you if you want to buy a cell phone. Most of the time, the employees look for excuses not to serve customers. At some times, an employee would yell at a senior citizen treating that customer owly and stupid.
But the Waltons won't do anything and Walmart Canada won't do a thing because it may be a franchise or because Canadians continue to swallow a bad customer service. Another bad thing about the Lower Mainland stores: their managers, supervisors and key personnel all come from one ethnic group. If you are accepted as an assistant manager by Walmart main office, and sent to one of its stores where you're told to work, the manager of that store can change your position like what PAWAN PATIL does- the manager in New Westminster, BC 6th street branch. He is called "uncle" by his employees because they said they all come from one village in Punjab.

People should think twice before buying anything from Walmart. A business that dehumanizes decent people like us Canadians, has no place to do business in Canada.
