So I ordered a tablet along with a stylus and keyboard, and I expected it to be shipped right away, but that was not the case. It took me (the customer) to inquire about the shipment, only to get a response saying that they had not shipped the product because the keyboard I ordered along with the tablet was not in stoke. They gave me the options: 1) Wait for the keyboard to arrive in stock, or 2) Pick another keyboard and they will refund my wallet or charge me more, depending on the price of the new keyboard. My response was for them to ship the tablet and stylus right away and the keyboard could be shipped when it arrived. It's been a week since my initial order and the company has been fairly good at getting back to my messages, ("tickets" they call them) taking on average a day for them to respond. The last message I received from them was that the tablet and stylus are in stock and that they will send them, but it might take 1 to 2 days for me to receive the shipping information. It's now coming to the end of the second day and I still have not received any shipping notice. After reading many reviews online and having experienced them first hand I'm beginning to loose faith in this company.

I will continue to update on this site to let others know if I receive my order or not.

Update October 9th 2015

So this morning I received a shipping notice and tracking number from GearBest which was great. So far I'm pleased that they've been able to follow their word for when they said my item would be shipped which was within two days of my conversation with one of the customer service representatives.

I will update again when my tablet and stylus arrive and the condition they are in. I'll also update a bit later about the keyboard that was suppose to come with the tablet but they said was on backorder and expected to arrive within 3-7 business days.

Update October 14th 2015

I'm happy to say that the tablet and stylus I ordered arrived yesterday. The tablet box had already been opened, however I assume that GearBest opens the boxes and changes the windows default operating language to English instead of Mandarin. The tablet and pen are working great, I'm using them to write this update.As for the keyboard I'm still waiting for GearBest to let me know when they receive it from the supplier which I'm hoping will be before the end of this week as they had said it would take from 3-7 business days. So far I'm quite pleased with GearBest's service, however as I haven't received the keyboard yet I can't judge too quickly.

I will update again in about week to let you know the status on my keyboard.

Update October 21st 2015

I finally received the rest of my order (the keyboard) yesterday. I'm happy to say the keyboard works great with the tablet. Aside from the tablet, keyboard and pen which I've discussed throughout this post, I also had order a smartbraclet about a month ago through Gearbest for about 20 dollars which I received yesterday as well. The watch is suppose to sync with your phone and do the odd things such as notify you of messages. Unfortunately, the app (Zeroner) doesn't seem to pick up the watch through bluetooth, even though it shows its visible under my phones Settings>Bluetooth. The watch is probably a give away item now as it doesn't seem to be working with my android OS even though I have the latest version... A bit of a disappointment in that the watch says it works with Android OS 4.3 and above, and my nexus 5 should certainly handle it.

Final review: Gearbest is an OK website to order gadgets off of. I never experienced any major issues that I've read other people have had. I'd say though the company wasn't assertive in letting me know what was happening with my order, instead they left it to me to ask all the questions, like why hasn't the order shipped yet, etc. With that being said, when I did ask questions they were fairly good with responding (within 24hrs). So, if you are looking for a cheap product that does the same as many other North American brands then GearBest is your place to shop, but you have to be very patient with them, and ask questions to stay in the loop. While I'm happy with the products I received from them, ultimately I was let down with the amount of time they took to get to me (2.5 weeks) which was longer then the 2-3 business days it was advertised for the shipping(Excluding the watch which was on slow shipping). I wasn't informed during my purchase that the keyboard was not in stock, which was a major issue as to why the order was delayed. Because my order wasn't made simple, I've scored Gearbest a 3/5.
