My order hadn't arrived. Weeks later I called in. Tracking had no info, they told me to wait for next week. Tens days later, I called in again and was told to wait for next week. I inquired how do they know if it had left the warehouse. I had a tracking number but no email like my other items, saying the item was in transit.
After calling the 1-800 Walmart # with no resolution or answers... I phoned CanPar myself, tracked down my lost package. CanPar found it but it did not have a Tracking Tag or address tag! It was just sitting there unclaimed. They were waiting for someone to call trying to find it so they could continue shipping! Walmart did nothing to help me, and they have no idea that I had to do all of this myself. They sent me an email after I called saying that my phone call tracking number was closed as SOLVED. What?! Are they serious.
Four days after calling CanPar it was delivered, the box severely DAMAGED!
I wanted to refuse delivery, but the guy shrugged and just noted on my delivery that it was damaged. I slit open the sides that had flimsy Loomis tape trying to hold in the contents before he left, what could I do? I couldnt tell if anything was missing or damaged. We opened the box, everything seemed to be there, only problem is, the Table Top was dented! I should have refused delivery. Some would say, it's just a small dent, it could be worse... but for $287+Taxes... I would prefer no dent.
I emailed them this story again... and asked:
What can you do to get us a table top that is not damaged? I was not about to start hauling this mangled mess to our local Walmart to be told we had to deal with you first. The box is not able to be used to hold anything, we broke it up into our recycling. I am not happy that this item is damaged! It is not able to be returned, I have no salvageable box to use. Could someone please contact me my phone to discuss. I attached photos of the damage and the box condition on delivery.
Email today totally ignored what I had written. Told me to simply return the item in good condition with all the orginal packing and box. That is such a joke. The item was a 6ft Lifetime folding picnic table, weighed 97lbs! It should never have been able to be online shipped, and I won't order something like that again. In fact, I will not order anything that might be damaged or that I can't carry in to return. Their customer service is virtually non-existant.
