Precision Camera received my camera on 6/2/14. They didn't get it logged in until 6/9 - the date they claim receipt on their status page - and several days after I contacted them about it.
A week or two later (late June) they contacted me and told me I needed to pay them more money. I pointed out they had given me a "quote" and nothing in the quote nor on their website provided for changing the price. In the end, I authorized raising the price about 50% above the quote.
About a month later, I contacted them, wondering why my camera was still listed as "in repair" and what happened to their promise of fast service. They reported the part was on back-order but did offer a discount for the delay, although the price was still well above the quote.
Two months later, after they didn't respond to several queries, I told them I was going to file a complaint in 10 days with the BBB if they didn't send my camera back. I also pointed out that I easily found the part brand new on the web at two vendors and it could be delivered in a few days. On the 10th day, they returned the camera unrepaired.
So, it took Precision Camera 4 months to tell me they couldn't repair my camera. They were late logging in receipt of the camera by a week and were late responding (or unresponsive) to requests for delay explanations, even though these were a month apart. And their online "quote" is probably bait-and-switch.
They might be OK with routine repairs that almost anyone could do, but maybe not so good with others. And they are sloooooow.
