When I was a kid I played this along with other games that were out at the time and I have to say, I can only remember having good times while playing it. It was so fun to collect cards and summon giant monsters to fight other people's monsters in an MMO format. You may be wondering why I gave it one star then and the only way I can answer it is by giving a lengthy recount of my recent experience with it. I stopped playing this game when I was 8 or 9, back when I switched over to games like FreeRealms and FusionFall (Rest in Peace), and I recently decided to try it again to relive some old memories (I'm 17 now). It didn't take long for the nostalgia to wash over me as I typed in my old username and password into the client. Once I booted up the game I was off to start questing. Here's where the problems start with this game. My account was a F2P account, which prevents you from entering the areas Firecat Alley and Cyclops Lane. Within these two places contains many more quests and ways to unlock more areas in the game, but when I was younger I was completely ok with this. Now that I'm a bit older I see how this sucks the fun out of the game once you reach level 10. Eventually you'll start getting quests that either require you to go to one of the previously mentioned areas or require you to go to places that can only be unlocked after you complete certain missions in the previously mentioned areas. When you start seeing these quests then that's when the pay wall starts to get clearer. Eventually the only quests that you are able to do are locked inside of these areas and you are left with barely anything to do. You can't level up unless you want to go out into the unlocked areas and grind for hours upon hours just to fill fill up a portion of the EXP bar. Since you can't level up you won't be able to get any fancy new cards to add to your deck and since you can't get any fancy new cards to add to your deck you can't play practice PVP (which is the only PVP you can play with a free account) because most people will be much higher than you equipment wise. The last game I ever played before I deleted this game was against a player who had twice the amount of health I did, had cards that allowed him to set up defense and attack shields while I did garbage damage to him. He just kept playing these shield cards until he finally summoned the Grim Reaper, which activated all of the defense and attack shields, and attacked me for OVER 5000 DAMAGE. I can't believe that a company can make their game have such an annoying and blatantly obvious paywall.

In conclusion, this game is only fun to play if you decide to shell out money in order to keep your premium membership alive. This rating will not be changed until free account users are given more access of the game, which will probably never happen.
