I could not disagree more with steve's opinions. Nearly every one of them in fact. The one thing I do agree with is there are 6 websites under the TipTopContests name and that is written in several locations on the websites with all the names identified.

I see 90 plus photos of the "vessels" to open and look at in a pretty big size photo. I read viewing for the extra fee was not required to enter or win and I can enter as much as I want until I elect to view in person and then I can not enter again. The logic of that rule is explained in an FAQ and appears valid.

I did fill out the entrance form and as soon as I agreed to pay by mail, I was permitted to enter the estimates. It does say, Payment Pending as a status and showed a warning about mailing the payment. I received an e-mail Thank You note for the purchase and there was a lot of information in that letter. Including a big note about "YOUR ATTEMPT TO WIN THIS CONTEST IS NOT COMPLETE" and reminded me I must now Submit the estimates into the contest to be eligible to win.

I see the statement about Why I should Trust TipTopContests as an up front acknowledgement of the scams around and an attempt to separate themselves from the fear of a scam. Pretty good move I think. They give a lot of verifiable information in that website.

I did search the names of the companies named as realtor, inspectors, alarm company, bank, lawyers, etc. and all are valid companies. I did not pick up the phone about them but it would be pretty stupid to make a claim like that and not be true. The lawsuits would never end. Actually, I did call the Realtor and it is a real house and he knows about the contest.

I've been watching this site change daily for the past week. It seems there are a lot of programming problems being fixed, slowly. Some are still not fixed. I could not complete the entrance form for the car or bike contests but it is getting closer. Last week, it had some message about a 404 error as soon as I clicked to enter. Whatever a 404 error is! The house entry went all the way through the process and I see it sitting there as "payment pending". The Contact Us link is still broken but I did send a message using regular e-mail to the return address on the Thank You letter and actually got an answer from them. They know their site still has broken links, just in case you were wondering, and did make an apology. I wish they had issued a free entry as compensation. Maybe next time - (grin).

I see the graphics changed again as I think updates have been made all week. Even the image you show is now different.

This is no high school kid at play. I checked on the cost of database driven website design on one of those lead generation sites for web designers and the website fee was estimated at $20,000 and there are 6 sites we know about. That is a tad above a high school kids bank account. Actually, way above mine.

This one guy who is owner, maybe onto something pretty big if it gets known to people. Think about it, the odds of winning a house are only 1 in 12,500 maximum? Dude, every lottery out there has millions to 1 as odds.

I think you might have judged too harshly on this one. It seems pretty open with information. Do some homework and see what I found. If you decide not to enter, now the odds are only 1 in 12,499. (Smirk)
