An Ashley Furniture Dura blend sofa and loveseat were purchased for me as a gift by a family friend. Dura blend is, allegedly, a combination of real leather and faux leather.

It wasnt long before there was some minor peeling on both pieces which escalated into EXTREME peeling. This should NOT be happening within a few years of minor use. Both pieces are peeling in places that are never even touched! It need not be used it shreds itself. The quality of the material (DuraBlend) is cheap!

Every day, all day, with chronic back pain, I pick up pieces of the sofa and loveseat. I find pieces on my clothing and in the shower... everywhere! I weigh 98 pounds and have no pets. The sofa and loveseat continue to peel and come apart. There is no excuse for such poor quality.

On the DuraBlend information card the first descriptive word is durable! That word should have a question mark following it. (Durable?)... Another descriptive phrase on the card is sophisticated look and feel. Please see the photos. Does that say sophistication? It should say Belongs in dumpster. Sophistication? I am embarrassed to invite people into my home. When I do, they always leave with pieces of the sofa and loveseat attached to their clothing. A souvenir of sophistication.

Stated on the tag is - Made by Ashley furniture Industries, Inc. Well Ashley, I need a REPLACEMENT sofa and loveseat of a similar color and shape BUT pieces that will NOT PEEL that ARE ACTUALLY durable and sophisticated in look and feel.

Signed,
Feeling and looking TIRED, bending over every day to pick up pieces of YOUR DuraBlend. Sick of looking at shredded furniture claiming to be durable.

NOT A GOOD VENUE FOR SELLERS.

I've been listing merchandise on Bonanza for a long time - Back when they first began. I have a few sales now and then - Not many... All without a problem... Except for ONE where it was a clear case of buyer's remorse. The customer opened a claim with Bonanza (Item not as described). The customer never contacted me directly. Of course the item was described exactly as it was... It was a new item. Instead of letting me handle MY OWN customer - I was made to communicate with the customer while being watched and coached in what to say. I was advised to offer a refund OR they would tell the customer to go through Paypal and issue a charge back!
They insisted on seeing all of the email exchanged between myself and MY customer. I was going to refund anyway... Even though there was no good reason except for buyer's remorse. I've been in retail for OVER 30 YEARS. I don't need a coach to suggest what to say to a customer. Or a threat to help the customer issue a charge back via Paypal. What kind of place is this? They're NOT on the side of the seller. I felt bullied into giving the refund. I had a babysitter (A Bonanza customer svc rep) watching the email exchange between myself and my customer. The whole experience was HUMILIATING.

Bonanza is a marketplace that is not known, not advertised and not busy. You'd think they would want to hold onto their long time sellers and treat them with respect. I'm sorry to say that is not the case. I've heard from other sellers who have been treated the same way - Some have been suspended for not handling the situation the way the "bully" had wanted them to.

Bonanza - Not a good way to treat your customers / THE SELLERS.

P.S. I eventually closed my booth as many do. My friend saw a unique tee shirt on Bonanza and went back to buy it 2 weeks later and that seller had closed their booth!
I've seen MANY sellers come and go - Go because of LACK OF SALES.

Many times when I looked up an item in "items that have sold in the past year" - there was nothing there - or very little that had sold,

Besides treating the sellers poorly regarding "problem" buyers - they just do not have any traffic. 99 percent of the time I logged into Bonanza only to delete what I had sold on Ebay!

Moving forward WITHOUT advertising - no one will ever say "I think I'll browse Bonanza." They DO NOT have name recognition after years of NOT advertising.
