I am the stereotypical new initiate to the world of online dating, and I was lonely minimally optimistic that it would work for me. There were some bumps in the road in the beginning, primarily as I learned the intricacies of communicating with someone without the benefit of voice deflection, facial expressions, and various other non-verbal cues which are so vital to a great conversation. But within a week of being online, I found a woman who is a great match for me, and although it is obviously early in our relationship, it is promising enough that I want to focus on her, and see where it might take us.
