I was with this company for many years and when they on sale broken and bad themes, which is often they never refund your money. Then when you make a claim on them they block your account taking away the access you have to the themes you paid for. I would stay away from these people and if your a developer you should rethink putting your templates on with these people. The owe me lots of money so I will file with the card companies and the FTC here in the US to try and get them blocked from doing business in the USA. Stay far away from these people they will do you wrong at some point

Scam Artists

I used to use these guys for some nice products when they started out. With huge success comes even bigger failure: greed. They have repeatedly yanked purchases I made, their developers get to decide whether or not to refund you or not. Guess how often they actually do offer one? You got it. These guys are nothing more than scam artists ripping people off.

Great Marketplace For Website Assets

I have been using Theme Forest for years, never had an issue. All my purchases/assets are always updated by the developers. I recommend before purchasing themes, scripts, plugins from Theme Forest, to make sure the Author is at least an 'Elite Author' that updates their items. You will have to research the author portfolios and check out their items and update history, reviews and comments before purchasing.

Themeforest and Porto theme for woocommerce was a scam because in order to take a full advantage of the theme after the purchase of the theme I had to purchase aditional premium plugin which was not mentioned. The theme was advertised as it can do 100 things and then when I bought it I found out that it can do only 50, and to get the full 100 you need to pay every year for a premium addon like elementor or WP bakery. This is a scam as their Porto theme studio was not working too. I contacted theme forest on the 2nd day, I waited for 25 days to get a message and no one replied. Then I escalated the problem and the "support" from Themeforest David was a complete waste of time, just asking me the same things without comprehending them. On top of that they remove comments from their themes, so they all look like they are 5 star themes, and products

Sales Garbage

These people are the worst of the worst lots of the themes they sale they know they are not good but they still choose to sale it and then do not want to issue refunds. Whatever you do if you buy through these people buy it with PayPal so you can get your money back because 9 out of 10 of these peoples themes will not work.

Disgraceful service

I bought a theme and was directed to but thru this company - I paid and so called got a license. My developer then tried to install the theme and was told we cant use the theme it has no license? I tried to login to my account to query this and am told Account Locked! Have you ever?! So now I have to contact their support to unlock my account - who locks people/clients accounts? Then the support email says I have to wait 4 days for it to be answered? So now I have a site thats unusable Im out of $ no license no support and losing business! Disgraceful - I would use stronger terms if I could.

Avoid it!

Just avoid it! I bought a beautiful wordpress theme there after contacting them to see if i could settle it without coding on an existing website. They told me no problem. Well it didn't go well at all, unusable without coding. So i asked for a refund... they just locked my account. So now i even cannot use what i bought from them anymore on a future project! This company is absolutely not serious. Avoid it!

Bethought request for refund money the refund money
When you invest time and money on your website.

I was purchase a them for themeforest.net but after 1 moth purchasing the theme thy mail i have successful process to refund.

So how customer can trust this website after purchasing they sleeping 1 or 2 month the work and send mail refund successfully

This website require big legal action.

No professional team and support system is very exponential.

I find to contact us form to support team but the option not showing in my dashboard.

They finally sent me my refund.

Finally, after much arguing and back and forth, I received my refund. Thank you very much Chris. I really appreciate it.

I went on their site and purchased a theme and also paid for someone on their team to install it for me. Not only this agent took forever to reply to his messages, the theme I bought from them was not working. It wasn't a minor issue. There were several areas that were not working. I contacted them regarding this issue several times and every time they sent me a message saying that the agent fixed one specific issue. But when I went on the website, nothing was fixed. This was a joke. I asked them for me to return the license to them because it was not working out and I requested a refund for the theme and for the service. After several going back and forth with them, they send me an email with a link to submit a request for it. The refund was approved for the theme but not the service. Now, since I returned their theme that was not working, which by the way was not my fault, I also requested a refund for the service that I paid them. It was back and forth with them refusing to give me back my money for the service. So, if I don't get a theme, why should I pay them for a service that did not happen? The theme was on their site and they offer the service to install it. If I am not getting a theme that works, neither should they get my money. Unfortunately, it seems that they took $50 from me for nothing. I need my money back. Their customer service really sucks. I shouldn't have to ask for the return of my $50. Where is the customer service? I am not backing down. What good is their so called service to me when I did not get a theme that works? So, the customer is supposed to lose money when she paid them in good faith to get a proper job done? I will never do business again with them. I don't care if they have other great products, their customer service says it all. They are all here for their pockets, not caring about the customer's. David or Alex, refund me my money. You all get a zero star from me.

Horrible

1st time to purchase anything from Themeforest.net, wish I would've googled reviews before doing so. I did a search for Shopify themes since the themes are $350 on Shopify and not worth it at all. After looking around on ThemeForest, reading reviews, looking for the best theme that would be easy to download, edit, and become a beautifully brand-aligned theme, I purchased "Ella - Multipurpose Shopify Sections Theme" for $89. After downloading it, I saw the crap beginning. The download came with several zip files, after opening the zip files there were over 20 items downloaded on my computer. Each download was different and came with a different set of instructions. I tried to follow the 1st set of directions and ended up with a website that was in Arabic language, after changing everything to English, the colors, the font, the website was ugly and dated. I figured I'd done something wrong but didn't have the patience to go through all the files on my website (inside of each download were several folders of items with several items inside each folder). I look at the reviews for this download and saw horrible reviews within several hours of my purchase, I thought to myself, I'm not the only 1 unsatisfied. I started the refund policy - the 1st step is taking to the seller who can approve or deny your request, the seller denied my request twice. Both times I was denied a refund and told to read the blog post and look at the YouTube videos on how to "fix" what I downloaded. I sent an appeal to ThemeForest (who took about a week to respond) telling me they will grant a 1x credit to my Theme Forest account, also saying I didn't deserve a refund because it's my fault that I didn't like what I purchased. I replied asking for a refund not a store credit (since that's not in their return policy). I went to leave this review under the theme I purchased only to see that you can only leave a review for a product that you purchase and are satisfied with. I also noticed none of the recent 1-star reviews I saw a few days prior didn't exist anymore! How is that for RED FLAGS? This was a horrible experience, I hope this review helps someone and saves others from wasting money on the ThemeForest website. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Themeforest.net nor do I recommend the theme "Ella - Multipurpose Shopify Sections Theme" by Halo Themes. They have 900 5 star reviews to date, that's only because you can't leave anything less than 5 stars or it will be deleted. Buyer beware.

A Nightmare

Wow! This was the worst experience and customer service received in my entire life. I do not usually leave a review, but it was so bad that I have to. I will rate them as a 0. They are incompetent, unwilling to assist, and have no value for the customer. I waisted my time, resources, energy, money and clients. I still have to purchase another template and start from scratch.

This is just the tip of the iceberg but will leave it as is. Do yourself a favor and never purchase from them.

I recently purchased a scrupt called Viserlance from the Viserlab company and paid for 1 full year of support!
Turns out the script is full of bugs and the developer wanted to charge me thousands of dollars to fix them!
I complained to Themeforest, which simply took away the support I paid (something around $130) and also removed the negative review I did against the script!
This is going against the consumer code, by Themeforest company!

I've purchased before from them, but this time I went to buy again and they locked my account. I emailed and they said that they wouldn't unlock my account. No reason and no discussion. It seems they did NOT want to resolve the issue. Strange, because I've always had good service from them until now. Do NOT purchase themes from them. Go to Templatemonster.com instead. You'll be glad you did.

I bought the Theme from the ThemeForest site, from stating I start facing the problem. And it's hard to get support. When I left the feedback about the product and support its removed by ThemeForest theme. Why so? Why no protection for buyers? And why they want to protect the seller?

No customer service, locked out of my account as link to verify my email address is broken.

Asked to email in from PayPal email address to confirm ownership (this is a different email address to the account email), did that, and then received an email saying they will only communicate with the "account" email address despite clearly explaining that it is to verify my ownership of the PayPal, and followed up with another email from the account email address too.

They respond with generic emails, and clearly they are either incredibly dumb, or they're pretending to be dumb and just stealing money.

It's both a shame and an insult to the spirit of good business practice, for theme forest to delete negative reviews on items. I had a very bad experience with a theme and I gave a honest detailed review. A few days later my review is nowhere on the site and so the item keeps deceitfully covered in the positive reviews that themeforest chooses to keep around. Unbelievable

Envato is a disgusting company, and its a shame they don't have better competitors.

Nevermind how poor the share of earnings is as a seller, they have the absolute worst customer service. I spend hundreds of dollars a year with Envato, and I have since 2011. I have never contact customer service for anything. I made a purchase that went through twice, and I immediately contact them to let them know and cancel the second one.

Instead of keep a loyal customer, they made me go through months of back and forth filling out all of these different forms, only to have "Joef" their "Customer Success Officer" say that they don't refund mistaken orders.

I could under stand a single "mistake", it could be a lie, but mine was a clear back to back duplicate order that could have been a technical issue, and I was only in need of the duplicate transaction being refunded.

They are an embarrassing company.
