“Love this site!”

This site is so helpful. I have learned so much from here and everyone is so helpful. Until one day when it was all of a sudden gone. I am quite sad about this. Can anyone tell me if it will be back please?

This site has spell casters that are out to get a free pleasure ride. Scam not worth it and full of fakes. This "spellcaster scammed and then got mad because I did not want to video chat and get naked to what he claimed was part of a spell. He started harassing and asking for nudes and then for pictures of my family and begged. My child is 2 so he really grossed me out. Emailed me nonstop and asked for more money and that he wanted to screw. Gross people here and false promises

I'm upset because these spells didn't work and the forums are basically really rude saying $#*! like you can become a mermaid or shapeshift so yeah I'm very disappointed with the whole thing but if forums were more positive and the spells worked it would get 5 stars I wish I could give a zero

Tip for consumers:
Don't use it negative and spells don't work

I remember being a kid (12-13) trying this thinking it worked but it didn't. All it did was bring negative energy and bad spirits into my home and at that time I wasn't rlly close to God like how I am now, so the spirits kept messing with me and haunting my life away(it was bad.)
Then I grew a little older and still tried the same spell for my curiosity when I went through hell the first time so this time it was the same thing
Same bad spirits fking with me so I prayed and I didn't want to take anything farther.
So don't try nothing on this app it's all fake lol
It will only bring evil spirits to come into ur home and start messing with u (literally).

This website says it is to be a site to help witches and pagans but they cannot even spell "Magic" in their website name correctly.

The site is a total sham with a bunch of moderators tossing their weight about. The second you even remotely question something, they lock your account. And I do mean INSTANTLY. And you are never told why. And being locked out, you cannot even talk to anyone at the site. It's like facebook on coffee with some vendetta. I was still able to look about the site, just not do anything. All I saw was a bunch of spells that looks it came from Disney cartoons and vampire movies. I mean seriously: They have people posting spells like "How to turn yourself into a mermaid." "Grow vampire teeth" and "Grow a real live money tree you can harvest cash from daily." BUT they swear that there are real pagans and witches there as moderators. Yeah, a real witch or pagan would not go near that sham of a site.

All-in-all I was in the site 1 hour before I was locked. And that happen when I was asking someone if there were any REAL pagan and witch articles to be had here. "Big Brother was listening in apparently." And after that I surfed about maybe an hour more, just to find nothing but Disney spells and Pokemon rituals. It's all a total farce. Oh and within that first hour I was badgered by 3-4 people asking me to cast love spells for them. It was like I was the prey surrounded by bunch of starved tigers. I am not sure if they were the moderators, looking to test out who I was or just a bunch of seeding lurkers. One had a picture of a child on his profile. Creepy. In total I think that site is more of a breeding ground for pedofiles and porn geeks.

Tip for consumers:
Anyone serious into the craft best stay away from this site or you will get the wrong idea about witchcraft, magick and paganism.

So I used this site as a teenager (12/14) and remember that I had a lot of fun with it. But that was just it, just a place to play pretend with other people. Nowadays it is empty with just teenagers looking for love spells and such. Even using my old account on there I was emailed by a few people asking if I want to cast a spell for them.

To be honest I am just a pagan and the spells they have there do not really interest me. Just remember that spells there are not reviewed so any user can post whatever they want which does ruin the rep of the whole site. Even the site owner has posted some spells that I do not really agree with like how to grow your breast.

For the mods there, the majority of them left or don't even do their job. Only one mod is active at all times Lark, most likely she doesn't have a whole lot going on in her life and this old site is the only thing left.

The users. There are still some old users. One person just talks big but doesn't really help. Another tries to help but I don't think she found another place to call home since she has been on there for over ten years. The rest are teenagers or pedos. I do have to address that because of how the site is run. The chat clears on its own and the mailing system is easy to abuse as it also clears out after a certain amount of time.

The articles are mostly non-sense or a mix of people copying a book without sourcing it. It can be interesting to read but since these are user based articles always take it with a grind of salt.

The Covens are also pretty fake. The site owner admits he just wanted to create groups and just went with Covens for the name. They are not active anymore and the ones that are are only a shell of what they once where or could have been.

Right now in the time of writing this the site isn't working. Maybe the owner finally decided to call it quits because it has been pretty dead for a few years as far as I was able to tell.

Honest advice. If you are curious about Paganism, Wicca, Druidism, or anything else I suggest trying to find a coven in your area or get some books about the subject you want to know more about.

I recently made an account with this site like a week or two ago. There's too much wrong with this site to be put in one comment. (A few examples) The moderators are racist and mostly made up of females which I think is unfair two male witches. I'm a girl so that's saying something. Also the spells on the site no! Somebody should check these things before they're allowed to be posted. I would never just let any old anything be posted on my site. I suggest trying witches and witchcraft Amino app. I am a member and people their talk with a lot more common sense.

They have pedophiles asking girls to post nudes if themselves, when I tried reporting them all the mods said a that they can't do anything. They gagged me a couple times for me simply saying my opinion! The mods are f**** childish. I wouldn't recommend going on this site, especially if you are a 18- girl.

No respectable wiccan, witch nor pagan would give this thieving site 10 seconds of their time. They claim all the content posted becomes their property even if its already been stolen from other famous practitioner's books. The site is great of your are a Hogwarts-Sabrina wannabe.

Spells Of Magic is a website that caters to those who believe in magic. This would include all manner of witches, warlocks, mermaids and other magical beings and creatures. Only after you join do you realize, as several other reviewers have, that the site is dominated by childish and arrogant moderators who are threatened by those who are more articulate and intelligent than they - which is to say, almost everyone. As an example, the moderator NordStar banned Dolphina, well known in San Diego as a mermaid that has taken refuge in the La Jolla cove, from participating, accusing her of "role playing." What? He no doubt fails to see the irony of banning anyone with creativity and imagination from a website devoted to magic. Furthermore, when you read this moderator's bio, it specifically states that being nonjudgmental is part of his credo, demonstrating a failure to recognize the irony inherent in his own hypocrisy. This website would be vastly improved by requiring some kind of vetting process designed to weed out brain dead, basement-dwelling twits from becoming moderators. In short, you are better of to go to one of the other websites - one run by real spiritualists, not frauds and imposters.

Spells of Magic positions itself as an online information network on subjects such as the occult, paganism and witchcraft. It hosts what used to be a fairly well-sized witchcraft/magical community, but has seen a decline in recent years, and also a store selling things like cheaply produced tumbled crystals and Nag Champa joss sticks that you can purchase in any New Age shop.

I haven't used the store, they don't sell anything original or handmade, so my review is solely on the quality of the content and of the community.

Content - Spells and rituals can be added by members of the SoM community, with nothing in the way of quality control being exercised by the site admin. Spells are added instantly. This mean that the vast majority of the material is plagiarised from other authors. Anything that is original is usually very poor quality, and in some cases dangerous (such as spells requiring blood-letting). There are a large number of "fantasy spells", such as spells to turn someone into a vampire, werewolf, mermaid, or whatever is most popular at the time. While these aren't inherently harmful, they do give the impression that magical practitioners are a bunch of morons who believe in such tripe.

Community - SoM has seen a drop in numbers over the years, probably due to the decline in popularity of Wicca and witchcraft in teenagers. There is a forum, though posts to it aren't as regular and mostly consist of newer members asking for help with some aspect of their lives. Many members are under 18, SoM having an age limit of 13 and older, and the lack of good manners and common sense shows. A lot of members demand answers to their questions, give nothing in return and are extremely boorish.

The site is rife with con-artists plying their "phenomenal cosmic powers", for a hefty fee. However the most disturbing thing are the perverts and predators that contact random members with sexually suggestive or explicit messages. I reiterate that most of the site's members are under 18 years or age. There is a system to report inappropriate messages, however nothing is really done to prevent these sickos from contacting vulnerable young people.

The site is supposedly moderated by an administration team. In reality, this is a group of folks in their 20s on an ego trip. Members can be banned for even disagreeing with the moderators on subjects of magic, making debate impossible. They do nothing to actually moderate the website at all, except from removing members who don't parrot them or who make them look bad, which isn't difficult to do. The most common response to any question asked is "Meditate on it", which is shorthand for "I don't know, but I'm not going to let anyone think I'm stupid so i'll say something that sounds vague and wise".

On the whole, avoid. There are many, many decent books out there on paganism, witchcraft and magic and it would be nice to see actual authors get some of the revenue for their work instead of it being ripped off and uploaded to dross like SoM.

Som is filled with a variety of spells, rituals, and information of spiritual information. However, you're better off learning your path elsewhere.

One of the biggest issues are the explicit messages, which are usually sent to underage members. The moderators usually push away the issues when it comes to reporting these problematic members. The site has been riddled with scammers claiming to "Cure you with their mythical abilities" or the classic "Your energy seems weak let me direct you to-".

The moderators are both incredibly immature and clearly stuck in their own ego bubble. You cannot even engage in any debate on any topic of magic without them gagging you for simply disagreeing with them, or they will become very snippy in their responses. The easiest way to get any respect is to be a arse kisser to them. The moderators are usually young women in their early 20s or late teens.

The online store is an issue as well. I never received my amulet and incense. I contacted the owner and he stopped responding to me when I asked for a refund. Most times, he'll never answer the messages at all.

This site is a joke for those really wanting to learn about Magick. Not magic which is illusion and tricks. Magick is very much different. This site seems very childish as well. People sending messages and asking how to be teleported or fly. Let's get real here! I feel this site is a mock to true Pagan walks of life. True witches exist. True Pagans exist! True Wiccans exist! I don't believe this site is where a true and dedicated one practicing magick and covens will be. Online covens? Come on now! Get out in the real world and do your thing. Absolutely ludicrous and arrogant website. What a joke.

This website is in complete and utter mayhem. They gag anyone who is said to believe in 'Fluff Magic', anyone who puts advice that they think is incorrect (even if it is right) and anyone who uses all caps and abreviations. There is no way to be ungagged and the site is just feels like anything you think is right is wrong and the moderators know everything. I find it funny how they ban all of the above when especially so called 'Fluff Magic' when some things that go under fluff magic are real! Makes it seem like this website's moderators are abit egotistic. Another thing if have found is that when you ask a question on the forums they assume you don't know ANYTHING about the subject you are talking about and go on about something that you weren't even asking about, making it sometimes impossible to get the answer you are looking for. And when they don't like the topic or think it's just a bunch of baloney they just lock the whole post so no one can answer back!

Other than the above, they have alot of stuff to buy which is pretty neat, and alot of spells and articles that are very useful. Some spells and articles are quite easy to tell the difference if they are real or not.

I suggest going somewhere else for help and information, especially if you are new to magic.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid at all costs. There are way better ways to learn magick like books, and other websites or asking real witches that you know in person. Use a primary sorce. Not this secondary piece of crap.

I might bring your attention to "Truth" by Michael the practitioner of the arcane practices. You are implying that if someone writes a just, truthful and fitting review (only in opposition to your stance) then your otherworldly powers will be used against us? Haha I have been studying the Kabbalah, Hebrew, Torah for years and hold a phd in all but the later most of Kabbalah. I have vast experience and expertise in the studies of the occult and its practices and application. I find your threat to be immature, lacking in wisdom and especially without knowledge. I have seen real magic used abroad and you I'm sure could not even imagine or conceive such. It is a lie, it is complete and total deception that this site sells to unsuspecting, naive people. It is wrong, wrong and wrong. To take people's money, knowing your deceiving is deplorable and karmic payback will come. These people and their Archaic black magic tyrant are mere bull$#*!. I called and will continue to call it for what it is. This site is a joke, they don't know simple numerology/astrology and so then "do you think they know magic? NO The only true source of magic comes through God and by God. The numerologist and or the astrologist knows where their practices originate and that is the Jewish Kabbalah period. When they can't even calculate the correct 5 core numbers of person, then they know nothing of which they claim to practice. Don't be fooled friends, there are plenty of good quality numerologists and astrologists out there and they do it because they truly want to leave people in a better place in their life. Even if they charge money, they provide you with accurate and precise information to the best of their ability. NOT this website, it's a joke and I find it completely offensive and laughable they have their magic practitioner to basically threaten anyone who voices and opposing opinion. You sir "Michael C." should watch who you threaten, unless you practice the dark arts ( which I highly doubt) you should be wary of karmic justice and retribution from the divine. Praying to the "Lord in heaven" will bring you people searching for spells and magic way more results, then investing your money in this site, with these people. I can tell you that if you are searching for true magic, true divine awe inspiring magic, look to the Jewish God. I have been studying Jewish mysticism, religion, occultism for over twenty two years. I have traveled to fifteen countries and studied and learned with the wisest, most knowledgeable philosophers, theologians, priests, mystics, historians, occultists, practitioners and I have written many of peer reviewed papers and a number of books. True magical practices like that of the Torah, Old Testament, New Testamemt, Kabbalah are taught only to worthy people on a one to one basis. Exceptions are made to priests as they are taught some of these magical practices, more and more information and knowledge to the higher levels of priesthood. With the exception of an exorcist priest as they are pure of heart, picked because of their pious and good nature. A personal character that is of the highest quality, they are given the keys to Kabbalah. The Rabbi's that hold this earthshaking secret knowledge, have a responsibility as G-ds chosen people to protect and guard it against people like Michael and the people of spellsofmagic.com. No real practitioner or keeper of the secrets of G-d would EVER share that knowledge with everyone. My advice to any and all people looking to buy spells or change something in their life would be to start with a good accurate numerology report. Our destinies are written in the fabric of the universe, nothing was left to chance. I inevitability started my journey out of high school, wanting to research and study my passion as my career. I was a skeptic when I began my quest for knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and over the years, many hundreds of hours of research and study, I have seen holy men do things you could never conceive of. I have been present for over fifty exorcisms performed in Israel, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico, Africa and up until 1997 the Middle East. I might add these were all done by Roman Catholic priests with the exception of Israel and those were done by Rabbi's. I have been in the company of medicine men, Shamen, mystics and sages. The reality we are in is made by intelligent design and I am not a holy person or mystic or any of the like. I am an educator, a researcher, analytical and logical composition. Thinking you know something and actually spending your life researching, learning, witnessing and gaining true insight and wisdom is a hell of a lot different than reading a couple books and practicing on a superficial level.

Greetings to all those whom are disrespecting S. O. M., I would strongly suggest you refrain from such negative conversations as I am an active member and I do not appreciate such things being discussed, I will not respond in such a civilized manner as I am now if it continues...

I am a so-to-say practitioner of the Arcane Arts and will admit that a good few of spells on S. O. M. Are dishonest and inaccurate, but, there are many which will actively function as they are meant to.

I am simply asking that those of you whom are acting incompetent, and dishonorable, to learn to become proper critics by completing your research before making your judgment.

That is all...

I heard some pretty nasty things about the site for a few years now and for a long time avoided the site. Finally curiosity peaked and I joined. I was not on the site for more than 5 hours when crap went down. I joined the site and filled out my profile. In a matter of 3 minutes, I got bombarded with like 5 so-called members, asking me to cast love spells for them and 1 asking if I could turn her into a werewolf. I laughed and figured it had to be a joke. I brushed them off most politely and headed over to the lists of spells, seeing you can not do anything else till you start submitting stuff, and you can not do that till you joined their array of groups. That was a laugh. I never seen so many Korra and Air-Bender wanna-bes. It was like stepping into a fantasy cartoon. Yes there are some remote true wiccan spells and a few pages that seemed to be cut&pastes from others sites but most are just fantasy movie and TV junk. But I heard tales about this and chose not to say a word, play it cool and scope the site out further. I joined one of their generic groups and posted a few spells I have casted in the past from my BOS. Then the lurkers came out again and as before, they were asking me to cast love and shape-shifting spells. Now I was getting annoyed. I discovered a feature to block them from harassing me and went back to posting spells... real spells. Spells that real witches and wiccans would work. I think maybe 10 spells total. I forget. I drifted away from the site for a couple of hours and came back. When I logged back in I discovered was locked out of posting anything. All I could do is change my profile. I was confused, and frankly pissed. I went to the list of moderators to the site, to ask if there was a technical glitch going on but I was locked from even asking moderators what was wrong. I was getting messages from new lurkers, private messages, but I could not even respond to them. Had I actually done anything wrong, I would have understood blocking me from making any more public posts. But they blocked me from making private messages. And to boot it all, but say a word why nor be able to ask someone in charge what I did so wrong. Okay, now I was beyond pissed and I scrolled all the way down to the site bottom and found the host of the site. My plan was to find out who owned the site. Checking that out lead me to a series of web-pages till I found the name of the site owner and other sites he has on the web. Apparently the owner of Spellsofmagic.com is a Mayor of Alberta Canada. A mayor! I could not believe it. A government official running a site that operates like this? It had to be wrong but whatever searches I did brought me back to the same man. Further more one of the other sites this man owns on the site-host was a gay PORN site. I literally stood out, totally blown away. Then things started to make sense to me. No reason to pursue this matter further. The site is a total scam, supported by children dreaming of being superheroes and people stealing notes on witchcraft from other sites.

In conclusion - Spellsofmagic.com is a scam, lie and destructive falsehood. While I am sure there are some real witches somewhere on the site, they are severely dwarfed out by an endless populace of roleplayers and character wanna-bes. Lurkers abound on the site and the site management is a joke and borders on being almost criminal. I am not sure what the true intent of the site is but its hardly a learning tool. More like a cut and paste haven of "Charmed" wanna-bes.

As for the owner of the site, Mister Sadlon, I highly doubt he is a mayor of anything, short of his own delusional mind on some Sim game. If he is a mayor and this site is any reflection of how he runs his town, I fear for the locals of that town.

If anyone is interested in real witchcraft and magick, you will not find it here. Move along there is no intelligent life on this site.

Tip for consumers:
If your looking for fantasy, the site is great. If you are looking to learn REAL crafts of witches, stay away.

Complete crud. They micromanage everything. Say lol in the chat and you get gagged. Gagged means that you cannot post in forums, you cannot mail other members, and you cannot chat, which effectively ruins any decent way of finding information, since most of the spells are fake and added by teenage role-players for fun.

This site is moderated by immature speech Nazi's that will gag for any reason, especially if they feel you might be right when giving advice. Anyone over newbie rank can gag a newer member if they feel that newbie might be smarter than them.

Not to mention that when you get gagged, you have no way of knowing who, and they don't even have the decency to tell you why. When I was gagged, I had to create another account just to speak with admins and find out why. All I got was this response:

"Dear Rule-Breaker,

We do not give information out as to why an account is gagged. If you were the person who broke a rule, you would know what you did. Have fun, and don't forget we have a 20% discount this week on candles!"

How are you supposed to know what you did when they have so many rules preventing the tiniest little things? A poorly and immaturely run website. Not even worth the trouble.

I had a horrible set of experiences. One's first red flag is that the owner claims to be WICCAN but oddly can not even spell "Magick" correctly, the way Wiccans and most witches spell it. That being with a 'K' on the end. They claim to get rid of Lurkers instantly if reported but I discovered they have created a series of fake profiles to harass new people that join; asking if they can cast loves spells for them. One profile seems to have been there for a few years. A minor from India asking for a love spell for a girl. When I asked who the girl was, he gave me the name. Googling it, I discovered it was some hot female Bollywood actress.

Going into the group itself, I found a lot of spells, lists and information stolen not just from various web sites but also from famed wiccan and pagan author's books. I did post a few spells to my profile page. Then, searching through groups multitude list of spells I found many of the spells posted belong in Roleplaying books; Vampire, Werewolf & Mermaid spells, Dungeons & Dragons. Spells dealing with Pokémon and Airbender cartoons and online role playing games or even from movies like Harry Potter and such. This disturbed me in that this site and its owners is allowing kids to post claims like "This spell is guaranteed to make you fly." GREAT! All we need to heard is that some kid leapt off a building and died or stab himself thinking he was immortal or a vampire. I sent a message of concern to a couple of the moderators saying I was worried some kids are going to try these spells and get seriously hurt, or worse. At first I got no response. Then I tried again to a couple of other moderators. But instead of getting back to me, they "Gagged" me. Meaning they made it so I could not post or anything on the site. I could not even delete my own profile. When I complained further to the site owner, I was bumped off the site. Angry, I posted a warning to other REAL Witch and Wiccan friends about the site on a blog page and the members of the blog who saw it said they were shocked and said things like "They are not real witches. Or they said that they heard of Spellsofmagic.com and are not shocked. So I just rubbed it off and moved on. But I did find it funny that while they wipe out your profile, the spells you post they keep, claiming the spells are now theirs. Okay, totally childish on their part. Either way I moved on and I was done with Spellsofmagic.com... I THOUGHT.

The next day when I woke, I got set of threatening emails from the owner falsely accusing me of using the site to post porn and stuff to a minor and they planned to take me to court unless I retracted what I said on the blog. I did some deep investigating and found the site belonged to a lawyer/mayor in Canada who owns several sites on line, including a GAY cowboy group. Hmmmm. Makes you wonder.

I also discovered that Spellsofmagic claims to have a 100% success rating as a site. This claim makes sense if they scare everyone with a negative comment about them with false threats of pornography. I have heard from many others that they get bumped from the site and the site never even tells you why. As a company they fail.

So there you go. A site that's is doing more harm to true witches of the world than good. For all the fighting that pagans and witches have done for decades, spellsofmagic.com is destroying. Spellsofmagic.com is a destructive and demeaning site to anyone that is of a pagan faith or practices real magick. They take no blame if someone gets hurt from the content posted BUT claim all content posted belongs to the site and its owner.

There is an incredibly small amount of actual spells on this website, and some that are real eventually get removed. I only got to test one real spell before it got deleted after.

Tip for consumers:
Just because most are fake doesn't mean it does absolutely nothing. There are spells with phrases that might invite bad spirits or give bad luck, and some may insult the spirits when doing it.
