I am 76 as the above review i did a survey for a retail store and was offered a "free" sample, well it was not free, since January my credit card company has been billed, between 150.00 to 200.00 dollars, i've called skincentric, but never get through several times, sent them emails, worked with my credit card company, but again they have charged me for a product i have not received nor do i want!

Scam scam scam! Do not order! I tried to cancel this and even complained to bank. The bank initially refunded my money but said the company had compelling evidence that I owed the 90 dollars. Furious at this unethical company and Chase for allowing them to take my money!

It is a scam. The company charges you $99 every month.
Beware folks. It is totally not worth trying out the trial. Also they advertise for cellulite and send face serum and charge you more month after month.

The "free sample" is a SCAM! A month later they billed my credit card $89.95 and four weeks later I have not received it... I want to cancel, but there is no information on the packaging. I 'm searching on line for information about this company and can't find contact information or instructions how to cancel.

Tip for consumers:
Well I got a "Private" response, this is what they said:

Jon T. [SkinCentricFace Rep] Dawn,

Sorry you believe this is a scam but some of your information above is completely inaccurate. We have an 18 day trial, not 30 days so a month later you would not have been billed. You also go on to say "no information on the packaging" yet you stated in the sentence before you never received it. We have a 24 hour customer service center and full time email support.

WHEN YOU TRY TO REACH THEM THERE IS NO ONE TO ANSWER THE PHONES OR CHAT AND THEY DONT CALL YOU BACK. THE PRODUCT DID NOT WORK FOR ME AND MY SKIN ISNT REALLY THAT BAD.

This is a terrible scam! A "free trial" where you simply pay the shipping ends up costing almost $800 on my credit card! Clicked the box saying I was over 18 and agreeing to the Terms (which you would have to click and find on another page). I started to wonder after receiving my sixth "free trial" and then when I checked my credit card statement was horrified to see that I had been charged almost $800 on six occasions! On contacting the company they told me that I by agreeing to their "Terms and Conditions" I had agreed to receive monthly product and be billed for same. I wanted to return all six products as they were unopened, unused and unwanted. But no go. It took my bank calling the company to get the subscription cancelled and they have offered to refund me for only the last two shipments. IF I receive those credits, I will still be out over $500. They kept referring me to their "Terms and Conditions" and told me they could not refund the products I had received more than 30 days ago. Yet, when I finally did read (and print!) their "Terms and Conditions" there is no time limit stated under their REFUND POLICY. I will be letting as many people know about this scam as I can unless this company decides to do the right (and ethical) thing and provide me with a full refund. I am more than happy to return their product. However, the company seems to place the "product" secondary to actually snagging subscribers with their "Terms and Conditions". One could almost believe that the product doesn't matter to them.

I had the same experience that no where in the free trial ordering was there any obvious indication of return instruction or auto shipment after so many days. Now there is a collection agency collect pros who is sending letters. I have complained to the state attorney general's consumer complaint. Others should do the same so these people would not scam other people. The products were definitely not worth $89, particularly the tiny eye serum, that did not do anything at all. Someone should check what the products are actually made of, and if the representations in the ads are in fact true.

My mother is 80, she ordered the free trial for SkinCentricFace and was billed $6.37 on her credit card. She was told that she had a 30 day free trial, but 16 days later she called to cancel because she didn't feel that the product was working. On May 19 she called to cancel and she was given a confirmation by email that the product was cancelled. When she got her credit card statement she finds that on the day that the product was cancelled she was charged $89.95 which work out to $121.33 Canadian. She called the company and all they did was give her the runaround. She called her credit card company and they told her that there was nothing they could do for her as she cancelled on the day they took the funds from her account. This company is definitely a scam. Stay away, very far away from them

I purchased the $4.95 Trial Offer of SkinCentricFace... and, in my opinion, SkinCentic is purposefully and knowingly operating under deceptive business practices. Nowhere during the initial ordering process (that was OBVIOUS) did they state that you would be automatically enrolled in their Auto-Ship program or that you had to return the product within a certain period of time.

Only later do you find, at the BOTTOM of the email order confirmation, these VERY pertinent details. And I am certain that they are well aware that most folks are not going to take the time to read every word in an order confirmation. Yes... you should... but most folks don't.

My main point is that they should not HIDE that info until AFTER you make the purchase. It should be clearly pointed out PRIOR to the purchase. I can't tell you whether I think the product works or not, but I can tell you that if you don't want to get scammed into buying what is essentially an $89.95 bottle of Vitamin C, then don't fall for the "Trial Offer" gimmick.

Dan, sorry you felt this was a gimmick. In addition to the terms and conditions being on the website, we do send an email to you immediately (which you acknowledged above) again stating the terms of the trial. Thank you.

In the past I have only paid shipping and received a full product, so that did not seem unreasonable. This sometimes comes with auto ship, but if you cancel before auto ship you are not charged. The problem with this product is that the terms and conditions are not clear when paying only the shipping price ($4.95). I realized when I received a confirmation email that I would be charged $89.95 plus $9.95 shipping if I did not cancel within 18 days of ordering. That is not the end of it - if you decide not to keep it, you have to pay to send it back, plus a tracking charge (in addition to the $4.95 of trying it for a short time). And they sent me two by mistake, so I have to return and pay on both. The auto payment is for what they sent you. So it is misleading that you only pay $4.95 for what they send. And you can only call to cancel or change the auto ship frequency. Every person you get on the phone tries to extend the trial or give you a discount to get you to keep the purchase. There are several websites that lead you to this offer that begin with the words skincentric, along with pop up ads. I can't find any complaints online. I would think there have to be complaints on this process. I don't know how there are no complaints, possibly they pay or pay someone to monitor.

Jackie, sorry you felt the terms were not clear. This is why you received the email immediately after ordering as well as having the terms and conditions on our website. If you were sent two by mistake, you would not be charged for the additional one.
